Cole was kneeling next to Phoebe, holding her weak hand in his. She had jumped in the way of the deadly fireball, directed at him. She had saved his life. She had saved in so many ways before. Tears were flooding freely down his face and sobs shook his kneeling form.
Phoebe smiled.
,,That's the way, I always wanted to die. Thank you, Cole.''

,,No, Phoebe! You can't leave me, you can't leave us!''

He kissed her smooth skin tenderly.

Phoebe laid a weak finger softly against his lips. ,,Shhh...''
,,I'll keep living in you and our family. You'll see me everytime you look into Julian's eyes, you'll hear me everytime Melinda laughs, you'll feel me everytime you touch Adriana's chubby fingers and you'll think of me everytime Will smiles.''

Phoebe smiles weakly.

Blood dripped out of the corner of Phoebe's mouth and Cole shakily wiped it away.
She began to close her eyes slowly.
,,Phoebe, please ... Don't !''
,,Time has come to get me. Remember me and make sure our kids do too. I love you. Always.''
,,Phoebe, Phoebe! I- I love you too!''
Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure

Cole put his head carefully to her chest and listened to her slowing heartbeat.
Slow ... slower ... and it finally stopped.
Cole's desperate cries could be heard up to the Elders and even the hardest man's heart broke at the sound of Cole Turner's sad screams.
