Wings
A/N: Another one-shot, except this one is about Haku and Zabuza. No, not as a pairing. I'm sorry all of you Zabuza x Haku fans. But I'm sure you'll be able you enjoy this one as well.
Enjoy.
Hey.
A flutter of wings resonated welcomingly. Feathers descended with the delicate touch of luminance. The figure yawned with arms stretched out and floated into space. The wings fluttered even more, emitting more white feathers.
Don't worry. Those feathers aren't real.
Soon enough, the feathers that were descending evanished.
It's me again. I wonder if you remember me. You were one of the few I thought were… precious to me. Beside him, of course.
Heaven is such a wonderful place, Naruto-kun. I'm sure you're going to join me one day, but I'll wait.
Haku's lips curved upwardly in delight. He watched Naruto as he argued loudly with his teammate, Sasuke. He flapped his delicate wings and floated down to the blond. He whispered sweet nothings to him, and Naruto abruptly turned around. A gentle breeze was all there was behind him, yet it seemed as though someone had been here.
Are you fulfilling your goals, yet?
I'd love to know all about it, but I know you can't tell me until you've joined me. I'm sure you're doing fine.
Sasuke and Naruto trudged off elsewhere when the blond had put aside the weightless sweetness. They bickered on a little more.
You know, Naruto-kun… I don't think there is a hell. There is only heaven, a place you end up after you've lived through hell. Hell is here, on earth, but it could seem like heaven if you wanted it to. If I've lived longer, I'm sure hell here would be just as beautiful as heaven.
And if there was a hell…
Zabuza descended toward Haku's destination. Time to go, Haku.
…He wouldn't be here after all.
Two pair of wings flapped gracefully, and left its pureness upon the soiled ground.
"Okaa-san, look!"
A little boy picked up the beautifully crafted feather and held it close to his heart.
A/N: I'll give you translation for that last part...
Okaa-san means "mother." So it's a lot formal than "mom."
Review.
