Part One
Authors Note: Just to give you an idea what this is about. This is based on Tammin's (who played Dani song "Something Better" and is a Kit/Kim fic. It took me ages to write because i've had writers block for like 2 months! Thanks to:

Part One
The hot blue sea glistened in the heat. The fierce waves started to calm as a hot day turned into an unbearably hot night. Kit Hunter flicked through the channels trying to find something to watch, but typically nothing good was on, so she made do with the news.
Nothing had really happened this summer in Australia, just several unfortunate bush fires which someone was reporting on now. Not alot had happened in Kit's life either. She had got a job down at Noah's and worked day-time shifts there.
It would have been a perfect job if only she didn't have to face Kim every day. They hadn't exactly broken up on good terms but not the worst either.
Kit only accepted Jesse's offer to work at Noah's because it was Noah's bar and in memory of Noah. Kit's deep thoughts were disturbed by her younger sister, Matilda.
"Kit, do you think Dalby likes me?"
"I don't know Maddie why don't you ask him?" Kit replied a little too sarcastically.
"Sorry for bothering you!" Matilda cried and ran out of the room, dramatically.
Kit sighed and went back to watching the news report on bush fires. This time her mum Beth interupted her.
"Hi love, sorry I took so long, did Maddie and Henry behave themselves?"
Kit hesistated how could she forget she was meant to be looking after the 14 year-old twins.
"They're fine, Maddie's at it again though", Kit said
"At what exactly?" Beth curiously asked
"Her 'Does Dalby like me?' obsession", Kit rolled her eyes making Beth laugh.
Deep down though she wasn't happy. She missed Kim but she had no chance of getting him back now. Now she had competition. Kit overheard her brother, Scott telling Beth that Hayley liked Kim and that Kim was interested in her too. Hayley was perfect. And Kit wasn't. Hayley had looks and personality,Kit felt she had no choice but to acceptKim and Hayley's relationship.
All I know is wego in and out of love, we don't know what we want, holding out for something better.
Kit gazed at the photo that hung above the fireplace, it featured herself and Kim hugging, Beth, Robbie, Scott, Matilda, Henry and Tasha all celebrating christmasweeksearly. Because of Scott and Kit's trip to Paris. Kit stared at the look on her facethen looked at Kim's-different. Heobviously didn't take the relationship seriously.
Then Something Better must be out there, waiting for her.
Authors Note: How was part one? There will be three parts, so two more left. Please bear in mind that I don't ship Kim and Hayley. And prefer Kit to Hayley. So when I describe Hayley it's the way Kit feels!
