Haley Rose Potter was not having a good day her secret crush was in the infirmary, she and her former friend Ron were nearly mind-wiped by a glory hound of a professor who's only competent spell craft was the Obliviate curse. She just faced a shade of the man who's only goal seemed to be killing her, and just battled a giant snake. To top it all off she was dieing and that asshole Riddle was still bragging. Reaching out she grabbed the fang in her arm and ripped it out. After crawling to the diary unnoticed by a still monologuing Tom she positioned the fang above the diary and with one swift thrust slammed the fang in the diary. The look on Riddle's face as he realized just what happened was priceless after tom faded a greenish black mist poured out of the diary and let out a high pain filled scream. After a few moments Ginny began to stir "Haley, get out of here! Tom..."
"He's dead Ginny." Haley cut the hysteric girl off, "I also killed the Basilisk, damn snake was a hand full." That statement made the redhead sob, "I'm sorry it's all my fault… Tom he made me open The Chamber, he force me to release the Basilisk." While Haley held the sobbing girl Fawkes landed next to her injured arm. As he began to cry in to the wound Haley found that the pain that had been almost unbearable began to recede, however after Fawkes stopped crying the pain re-surged even worse than before. Fawkes gave a sad trill "It's okay Fawkes, if you could do me a favor take us" she indicated with a nod of her head the sleeping redhead," and Ron and Lockhart to the hospital wing." It took Fawkes two trips to get both parties to the hospital wing once there Haley using the last of her strength limped over to Hermionie and sat on the bed next to hers. Holding Hermione's stone like hand she leaned forward a pressed her lips on the other frozen girl's lips.
Fawkes's first flash alerted Madam Pomfrey she immediately called the headmaster and busied herself with assessing first Ron as she ran a number of diagnostic spells she subtly question the red haired boy. She saw that nothing was wrong besides a few crapes on his hands and fingers. She was in the middle of running a diagnostic spell on Lockhart when the headmaster walked in flanked by both Minerva and Severus. Looking around briefly Dumbledore makes his way towards Madam Pomfrey. "Evening Poppy, you called for me?" He asked while as he took stock of the current occupants. "Yes Albus as you can see Fawkes has brought back both Mr. Weasley and Gilderoy. Though still no sign of Miss Potter or Miss Weasley."
"Mr Weasley could you explain what happened in the Camber?" Dumbledore asked. As Ron opened his mouth to answer a flash of fire erupted near one of the Empty beds. "Thanks Fawkes you're the best." Haley said as she lay a still sleeping Ginny on the bed.
With her task finished she limped not really noticing anything or anyone as she made her way over to Hermione. The only sign of her being aware of anything but the frozen girl is when Dumbledore approached her. "Miss Potter would you be so kind as to give me your account of the events this evening?"
