"You hold the sword like so," Edea instructed, showing her daughter the right way of holding it. Her grey blue eyes narrowing, her little Ise tried to mimic the Grand Marshal as best as she could with her own wooden sword, her face pinched up in concentration. So cute~ Edea cooed mentally, though she kept her features straight for Ise's sake. "Once its steady and you have a good hold on it, you smash your target's face!" Edea declared, bring her sword down on the dummy.
Ise raced after her, shouting her own battle cry as she rammed at the dummy, only for the stick bounce off the sturdier wood.
"You'll get it," Edea eased, turning as she heard the door open, greeting her husband with a smile as he came in beaming, a new dress in hand. One he likely gave in and bought at the very first sight of, imaging his little girl in it. "Welcome home," Edea bid, walking up and catching Ringabel's lips as he made his own beeline towards her. Behind them, Ise growled her mother's growls as she bat and swung at the dummy, trying hard to mimic the grace and skill the Grand Marshal had.
"Its good to be home," he agreed, pulling heavy coats off his body and shivering cold away. "I don't think I'll get used to the snow, no matter how long I've lived here."
"Well you certainly weren't born in the snow," Edea said, giggling as she brought him into a warm hug. "I can think of a way to warm up tonight."
Ringabel's smile grew as he tightened his own hold on her and bringing their faces closer. "Sounds like a very good plan to me," he whispered.
"Fuck!" Ise finally snapped, stomping on the ground as she threw the stick down.
Both parents jerked in alarm at that, whirling around to stare down at their fuming daughter. "Did you just..." Ringabel couldn't even bring himself to finish, gwaking down at his little princess, horrified that she could even breathe such a word. Edea took the possibility a bit better. She jerked in Ringabel's arms, her hands flying to her mouth as a fit of giggles nearly escaped her.
"You're laughing?!" Ringabel exclaimed as Ise turned to her parents, a pout on her lips.
"Sorry," Edea managed, quivering. "But when kids curse-"
"She did not..." Ringabel took a deep breathe, and frowned down at his daughter, arms crossed as she stared up at him in confusion. "I think we misheard. She might have said duck..."
Edea rolls her eyes. "Now you're just fooling yourself."
"I am not!"
"What you talking bout?"
They both turned down to see Ise look up at them, a tired, frustrated pout on her lips as she looked up at them.
"Um," both blonde parents emitted, looking away from Ise's gaze. "Well sweetie," Edea started, seeing as neither had a way to beat around the bush. "We're wondering if you said f-"
A hand flew over her mouth, her husband staring at her in horror. "You were going to say!" he whispered.
Edea simply raised an eye brow at him, hands going to her hips.
"The idea is to discourage this my dear!" Ringabel argued under that brow. "Saying it, even if she did say it, would not discourage it!"
"Ow ould se owe?" Edea demands under his hand.
"Um," Ringabel utters, frowning as he tried to think of a reasonable answer All the while Ise rolls her eyes at her parents and shakes her head, muttering, "They so weird," before focusing back on that dummy and hitting it just like mommy did. Now it was all in the grip...
Ise is a respelling of Ice, not sure if their kid would be named this though...
its really funny when a kid curses and one parent cracks up while the other is complete horrofied, just a matter of figuring out who X) i can also see both of them becoming really amused and surprised about the sudden f bomb
