It was a cold winter morning, and the first few snowflakes of the day blew into my long, dirty hair. I sat in a small, secluded alleyway, vulnerable and unprotected from the blowing snow and bitter cold. I was so alone and hungry back in those days. People just walked by, acting like I wasn't there; like I didn't exist. Except for one.

The strange man walked up to me and said, "Dear child, you seem cold and lonely. Don't worry. I'll end your suffering. Forever." At that moment, he struck out with his hand, which by then had morphed into a mutated tentacle. Not to worry though; I also had some tricks up my sleeve. I quickly did a back flip to evade his attack. Automatically, I knew exactly what I had to do; his existence was to be wiped off the earth.

Almost like magic, wings made of large curved blades formed on my back. They glinted in the light as I pulled two blades off, which quickly replaced themselves. Now it was my turn to strike. By now, the man had turned into an octopus-like monster. I nimbly sliced off its limbs and destroyed it, wielding my two blades like twin daggers. It sent some sort of signal to its faraway companions, and soon enough, people were screaming and fleeing. They were running from a massive group of akuma that rampaged through the streets. I stepped out of the alleyway and all at once, the akuma stopped and faced me.

One of them spoke in a nasty voice, "Well, well. Looks like we found a tasty-" I silenced it as I sliced one of my blades through its throat. The others stared in shock for a moment, and then they started attacking me. I dispatched them easily; one by one they turned to dust to be swept away by the wind. As they became few, the last surviving ones tried to run, but I got to them before they could. My silver eyes gleamed as I dealt the finishing move to the last of them, and all was silent.

I looked around at my surroundings; the remains of the akuma lay all over the street, and there was nobody around except a little boy. He was staring at me wide-eyed, out of a small window. I turned my back to him and took off before more akuma decided to appear.

This is my very first fanfiction. For now, I'm only posting the prologue until I get some reviews. If enough people like it, then I will continue posting this fanfic. :D

Review and please tell me if I have any spelling or grammatical errors!
