Hello, everyone. This is my first story, so I hope you'll enjoy it, I will try to update it every weekend. Please review and give me a bit of feedback, I'm not the greatest writer. It's really cool to see a few reviews already. Yes, the chapters will be longer, I promise! I've decided to hold back Chapter One till I get the Prologue to 600 words. UPDATE: Sorry, but this is going to be held back by at least a month. I have a lot of work to do on the WoF Fanon Wiki right now.
UPDATE 2019: I've decided to restart this story, however, I will be moving it to the Wings of Fire Fanon Wiki. You can read it at wiki/What_if_there_is_no_tomorrow%3F
Prince Celestial wandered the palace, as he did many nights. The empty corridors were quite and still, an escape from his busy life. Now, his hard-earned peace was being interrupted by a panicked messenger who was convinced he had to do something.
"Is this that important? Can't I deal with it tomorrow?"
"Ah, yes sir. It is very important. Yes, very very important, your majesty." The messenger fidgeted, impatient.
"If it's so important, why don't you tell me what it is?"
"It's the queen, sir," he replied, relieved he'd gotten Celestial's attention.
"Well, that's fantastic. Thankyou for telling me," he remarked, moving to continue his way down the passage.
"She's dead!" The guard nearly shrieked from behind him, and the quickly looked down the hall to see if he had disturbed someone. Celestial paused. Moonlight spilt threw the windows, breaking up the shadows across the stone floor. He turned around. This could be an opportunity. His daughter was eight years old, old enough to take the throne. That could put him in a very good position. He looked at the guard, thinking hard.
"Go and fetch the generals, and send them to the council chambers. Then wake the council, and tell them I will be with them shortly. After that, fetch my daughter and send her to the throne room." The guard nodded and went to leave, frowning at him.
"Actually, wait. tell her to go to the library's east entrance." The guard nodded again, and muttered as he walked away. As the shadows covered him, Celestial wondered about the disease that has taken his mother. He walked quickly, turning left at the end of the hall.
