Cameron Leon doesn't feel.
He can sprout every ingredient used in about forty different potions, he can name every constellation up in the heavens, he can perform spells that not even kids two years his age have learned yet. He's brilliant, a genius, one of the smartest minds this world has seen.
But Cameron Leon doesn't feel until he sees her holding his hand.

The name leaves a horrible taste in his mouth as Cameron watches them with tight lips, his eyes smoldering in anger at how idiotic this boy is. And how ridiculous Kara is falling for his charm. He isn't even that good looking.
"Hey Cameron!"
Ripping his eyes from the Gryffindor table Cam recognizes the voice before even spotting Wendy. She sits down next to him talking about how nice he looks today and even though Cam hears every word she says and is nodding his head his eyes never leave Kara's smiling face as she sits next to him.

He notices before anyone and even before Scott himself that Lucy Weasley will be the one to break everything and a few weeks later he is proved right (as always) when Scott breaks up with her and a day later is dating Lucy. Cam watches the boy with wary eyes as him and Lucy takes a walk by the lake.
Scott broke her and he would pay.
Kara is broken but Cam doesn't mind because even though she's broken, she's all his again.
And maybe Cameron Leon doesn't feel but when he's around her his heart quickens, his eyes light up and a smile graces his lips.
That's close enough right?
