Tomoe steps down the sand path, away from the demon world. His tail shuffles irritated over the ground. Why can't they just leaf me alone!? A scream fills the night. Tomoe looks around and sees a human girl. A demon with no face pins her against the ground, showing his sharp teeth. The girl screams. But it's not like she is scared or sad like you expect, it's full of anger and strength. Tomoe wants to walk passed them, not helping. But something about this girl makes him interested. Suddenly the demon splashes in a thousand pieces. Tomoe looks at the girl. She look at him with her sharp brown eyes. That sign on her forehead…She is the land god. The girl looks at the demon. Tomoe looks amused back.
'So this is who Mikage chose.' He says. The girl's eyes widen from surprise.
'You know him?' She asks.
'Yes, I was his familiar.' Tomoe says bitter.
The girl looks at him angrily. 'So you are the one who left him alone when he was about to die!?'
Tomoe stands right in front of her now, he pulls the girl in the air.
'Don't piss me off, little god.' The girl punches him away.
'I'm Nanami. Not little god. I don't see why Mikage chose you as his familiar in the first place.' She puts a lock of her long brown hair behind her ear.
'That's none of your business anyway. Poor Mikage, he has chosen dead meat.' Tomoe says angrily.
Nanami doesn't pay attention anymore because she hears two familiar voices. Kotetsu and Onikiri, the two Mikage shrine spirits com storm down the pad.
'Nanami-sama!' They cry and pull Nanami's clothes.
'Tomoe-dono isn't bad, we need him!' Kotetsu says.
Nanami looks at him in surprise.
'But I thought-'
'Tomoe-dono tried to save Mikage. But he ordered Tomoe to leave and save himself!' Onikiri says.
'No way…' Nanami looks at Tomoe. She thought of him as a rough yokai, but apparently he is really loyal. The little shrine spirits go stand before Tomoe and Nanami.
'Nanami-sama, please kiss Tomoe.' Onikiri and Kotetsu say at the same time.
Nanami looks angry at them. 'What!?'
'If you do that you will bound him to a contract. Without Tomoe-dono the shrine will crumble.' They say.
Tomoe pulls them in the air. 'Who says I want to be a familiar again!? Now I'm free I can drink how much I want and have as many girls as I want.' He says, looking down on them with cold blue eyes. Nanami looks with narrowed eyes at the fox.
'A moment ago I thought I maybe had mistaken and you aren't a bad person. But now I hear this I know I didn't mistaken.' She says.
Tomoe looks irritated at the fragile girl. 'What?'
'If you prefer drink and girls over the welty of the shrine, you don't deserve to be a familiar.' Nanami finishes. Kotetsu and Onikiri almost get a heart attack. Nobody speaks up against Tomoe. A shining butterflies lands on Nanami's shoulder. Tomoe looks frozen at it.
'Mikage… ' Everybody notices.
Nanami looks at the shrine spirits. It's clear what she has to do for the shrine. And now Tomoe let his guard down makes this the perfect moment. Nanami goes stand right in front of Tomoe and kisses him. He is to choked to know what's going on. After the kiss Nanami backs away with a slight blush. Tomoe and Nanami both notice the binding familiar bond… And something else?
He guys! This is surely not my best work but I hope you like it anyway =D I mostly writhe story's about Soul and Maka (Soul Eater) but Kamisama hajimemashita is the first anime I ever watched and I love Nanami and Tomoe together ^.^ I'm updating everyday so please comment if you like it ;)
