Awkward

A/N: Creative title is creative.

But I really should stop, I really should.

Nooo, instead I had to make yet another series of oneshots for a fandom. The things I do for my plot bunnies (or iMinkies, seeing as this is Freefonix)

So, here's the first word: Awkward! There's one certain scene that certainly comes to mind…note that it's implied here, so you can ignore it and blame it on madness for the following actions.

Ah, and I do not own Freefonix, nor the characters. I'm merely borrowing them then putting them back when I'm done :3

BB hadn't been thinking a thing when the giant iMinky was defeated. Not a thought entered her mind, which was filled instead with the euphoric rush of beating a monster and saving Los Bosmos from certain destruction. Her mind was still blank as she ran straight into the open arms of her temporary comrade, Kurtz. He received her hug with the same enthusiasm, and for a moment, everything seemed in perfectly in line.

Then reality came crashing down on the embracing pair. Hard.

They pulled away simultaneously and adopted defensive stances – in this case, BB had crossed her arms to fend off anymore impulsive hugs, and Kurtz stepped a good deal away.

Kurtz was the first one to break the tense silence. "Urm, zhat didn't mean anything, right?" He asked in his heavily accented German accent, the one that replaced his 'th's with 'z', making him sound foreign and different than the usual high lilts of prepsies, or the cool rounded off ways of the citizens of Los Bosmos-

"Y-yeah." She answered with, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Which it was.

Kurtz seemed relieved by her reply, his shoulders sagging, but he still kept his distance. "Ah, good."

They both avoided eye contact.
