True Love

I don't own any of the characters of Sue Thomas FB Eye.

She looked at his eyes filled with love. This was really happening. She was really getting married to the man of her dreams. They had come such a long way from when they first met five years ago. "I love you Sue Thomas. I'll love you for life. I'll love you in sickness and in health, for richer and poorer until death do us part." He said animatedly and passionately.

Sue repeated her own vows that she too wrote herself. Everyone on the team was there. Lucy and Tara were bridesmaids. The wedding was beautiful. It was their dream wedding; one they'd both dreamt of for years, but didn't realize then that they'd share together. They had a fairytale wedding and it didn't have a single problem.

Then the pastor said, "You may now kiss the bride." Everyone clapped and cheered as they shared an ardent kiss. "I'd like to introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. Myles Leland the third."

On their way to the airport they reminisced about their first date, which was a joke that the teammates had set them up on. Little did they know it would lead to true love. The team had spied on them and had laughed at their awkwardness with each other in the beginning. They were all surprised, however; when the night ended with a kiss. The whole team was witness to it, though they were a safe distance away so that they wouldn't see them. It had been an even bigger shock when Myles asked Sue to go out with him again and then Sue accepted.

They still remembered the day they went to the supervisor and told him of their blossoming relationship. He said as long as it didn't affect their work; he'd let it slide. In the office they acted normal and kept their emotional feelings in check. No one in the office knew what happened at the second date or that they'd had such immense feelings for each other especially since they kept it strictly professional on the job.

They recalled the date that he proposed. Myles made sure that it was perfect. He made sure he had all of her favorite things and took her to her favorite restaurant. Between dinner and dessert, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes and put on the ring.

In the bullpen Lucy immediately realized something was different about Sue. She had a certain glow about her and then she saw the ring. It was beautiful and elegant and the stone on the ring matched the color of her eyes perfectly. "You guys, you guys… Look at this." Lucy shouted and showed off the ring. They all gasped in surprise, including Myles because it was still part of the façade. He looked almost even more surprised than Jack and Bobby, which was quite a feat. "So, are you going to tell us who the lucky boy is?" asked Lucy excitedly. Sue looked at Myles and he nodded.

"The lucky boy is none other than Myles Leland III." Sue said as he went over and wrapped his arms around her. They all looked at them stunned. "You're all invited to the wedding." and started telling the details. After the initial shock of Sue and Myles getting married, they all agreed not only to go to the wedding, but to be in it. D said his kids would love to be the flower girl and ring bearer. Then they had to get back to work.

"Can you believe that we're here? That we're actually married?" Sue asked excitedly.

"No, it seems so surreal, but I wouldn't change it for the world." Myles said as he leaned over and kissed her. They thought about the events that had led to this moment. They thought about the how's and the whys of where they were and knew with all of their hearts that this was the beginning of their happily ever after.
