Tom awoke to hear the sound of the shower coming from the ensuite, he rolled over to face the window, noticing the floor coated in a thin layer of snow, 'Great.' He thought, 'I can tell today's gonna be a fun day in the ED'. He sighed, and took in his surroundings, this tiny one bedroom flat had become very familiar to him. He heard the shower turn off, and the door creaked open to reveal his not-quite-girlfriend Sam. To be fair they had publicly walked into the pub hand in hand, but he wasn't quite sure if this made official or not.

She smiled at him and let out a cheery 'Morning Sleepy!'. Tom thought, 'Oh god. I don't know if she's flirting, or just making a statement. Shit. What is this?'. 'Tom?' she questioned, as he realised he just completely blanked her. 'Oh errm, Morning, sorry I'm just exhausted, you know, because of last night' he mumbled, but to be fair he only remembered going to the bar for more shots, then the rest of it was a blur. 'Did we have sex? I bloody hope we did? I'm so confused. Okay, okay, ouch, what the hell is that?' he thought as he rolled slightly to reveal he was lying on Sam's bra. 'Oh! Sorry! I assumed you moved it!' Sam exclaimed. 'Right, I think this means we had sex. Wait, wait, I'm naked. Yep. We had sex. ACHIEVMENT UNLOCKED!' he though

Whilst Tom was lost in his thoughts, Sam clambered into the warmth of the bed, fully clothed, and placed her head of his chest. Her hair was still damp, but Tom couldn't care less, because he was in bed with Sam Nicholls, and he wasn't even drunk. 'So!' she mumbled, her voice muffled by the embrace, 'This makes us official?'. Tom looked down at the resting woman on his chest, and whispered an 'Of course' into her ear, and he gently kissed the back of her head. She looked up, and smiled intently, giving him a quick kiss on the lips as she sat up to get out of the bed. 'Anyway, come on! We've got work in 20 minutes!' she said as she walked out of the bedroom to make breakfast.

He quickly threw on last night's clothes and trudged into the kitchen. He walked over to the cupboard to get a mug for some tea, and felt Sam hug him from behind, he bent down and lifted her legs up, and gave her a piggy back over to the table, where he slowly lowered her down onto the chair. They ate breakfast quickly and Sam got into her car, and Tom scraped the frost off the windscreen. She thought to herself, 'Oh my god. Is this real life? This could be a dream, but it feels so real. This is perfect. He is perfect. Ermahgerd.' She laughed as he blew a kiss through the windscreen. 'Holy Shit.' She though, 'this guy is a comical genius, and I love it'

They sat in the car, and Sam looked out at the falling snow outside. What she failed to notice was Tom occasionally looking over at her, either to check if she was alive, or just to admire her. They pulled up in the hospital car park, and he got out, and walked over to her side and opened the door, he grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the car, she fell into him, and he wrapped his arms around her as he shut the car door. They walked into reception, smiling at their colleagues, who were congratulating them. Linda passed them, and whispered 'Get in there!' to Sam, who laughed as she leaned her head against his shoulder.
