It was cold, so cold. That was a fact she didn't have to be told an hour ago to know was true, but now, with her fingers and nose and toes all numb and the rest of her body numbing quickly as well, she couldn't tell the difference in temperature.

A blizzard had struck suddenly while she was climbing Mt. Silver alone. She couldn't see her hand an inch from her face and ended up slipping and falling under the extreme conditions.

And now she lay in the soft bed of snow, her body freezing to it's eternal rest. She hopes her Pokémon are alright, that they can get out of their balls and survive the mountain well enough to get somewhere safer once she's gone.

Somewhere in her mind she knows the storm is over, but she can no longer move her frozen body. She hears her name, or at least she thinks she does, somewhere in the distance and wonders if it's a god calling her to heaven.

"Ash!" No that wasn't a god calling, but someone was calling her name.

The person, panting heavily, as they must have been running, drops to there knees next to her.

"Ashy-girl, come on, stay with me! Help is coming, just hold on!" The person was crying now, she knew because she felt a tear fall on her face and it burned with a sudden new warmth before freezing.

Somehow she managed to find the strength to crack her eyes open enough to see the person holding her stiff, nearly dead, body.

"Gary." She thinks when she sees his face.

He sees her eyes are cracked open now and he cups her cheek with his palm.

"Ashy-girl, hey it's me! Hang on just a little longer!" He chokes on a sob. "God why did you come out here all alone?"

She manages a final smile on her blue lips. A puff of air come out of her mouth, freezing her final words in the air above Gary's face as he holds her tight.

"I love you." She tells him as her eyes glaze over with frost as she falls into her eternal rest gazing at his face, his strong, warm arms wrapped around her icy shoulders.

His eyes fill up with tears that freeze before they hit her face, and a new storm begins to blow.

"I love you too…" He whispers and lowers his face to hers.

Two days pass before they're found. Gary still holds Ash, his lips stuck to hers. Both sleeping statues, meant to be together forever. A truly eternal love, frozen in a moment in time…

Okay, so I just came up with this today. It's been forever since I've done a Palletshipping fic. So I figured, why not? I hope you all liked this, thanks for reading!
