Kaidai No Miko
It was a quiet day in Concord, California. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. James Surashi was riding his bike to the library 3 blocks from his house. James was tall and lanky, with brown hair and greenish blue eyes. He wore the uniform typical of any 17 year old attending Peter Jonson's School For Boys, a white collered shirt, dark blue dockers, a sport coat, tie and black dress shoes.
His face was devoid of emotion, as usual, as he rode onward. He was not looking forward to having to ride 2 and 1/2 miles next month to get to a freaking library. The one close to home was going to be torn down to build an Adult Video Store.
'Inconvience all the students in the area just to build a porn shop! Great idea guys!' James thought.
In any case, the library needed to get the books gone in 3 days, so they started to give them away. James was never one to refuse a book. He rode with an empty backpack, hoping for it to be filled when he returned home.
As he walked into the library, he gazed at the shelves upon shelves of books. He slowly made his way to his favorite section, Fantasy and Science Fiction. He went through and pick out the 12 books he loved most, carefuly placing them in his backpack. He started to leave when a new book caught his eye.
'The Universe of Four Gods,' he thought, 'I've never seen that one before. Might as well take it.'
He picked up the book and put it in his back pack with the others. As he did so, the book and he gave off an eerie silver glow. James paid it no heed.
'It's just the lights.' He told himself. How wrong he was.
James rode home quickly, dispite the heavy load. As he walked in the door he was bombarded by yelling. His dad yelled something about dinner, his mom yelled something about the computer and stay away and his little brother, Vince, just plain yelled. James yelled back, saying he was going to his room.
James made his way up the stairs, toward the safety of his room. He shut the door quickly and began to unpack his new books.
Without warning, Vince burst into the room and began to jump on the bed. "Onii-chan!! Didya bring me anythin' from the liebarry????????" Vince asked eagerly.
"No baka, I didn't bring you a book." James said as finished empting the backpack.
"How come?" Vince pouted.
"Because you can barely read for a 5th grader baka!" He snapped. "Now get out of my room."
There was a small argument and a scuffle but Vince was finaly kicked out with success. James put all his new books away. All but one.The Universe of Four Gods.
He picked up the strange book and yet again began to glow. He slowly opened the book and read from it's begining pages.
"The story will become real once you turn this page." As he turned the page, his room seemed to fade, then grow black. He could almost swear he saw a shining, sliver wolf.
Anybody like this? If so then tell me! What ever on earth has happened to James? Stay tuned and patient to find out!
