"He is not yours Severus" shouted Lilly. "Please no don't!"
"It's too late for begging now Lilly. Your husband is dead, and I'm about to kill your child in front of your very eyes!" retaliated Snape. "And then I'm going to kill you. Ohh revenge is sweet!" he continued.
"No, not Harry!" begged Lilly "not Harry." Lilly jumped in between Harry and Snape. Blocking the shot of the killing curse. She raised her wand and pointed it at Snape. He raised his and pointed it at her too. It was clear that only one of them was leaving there tonight.
"Get out of my way Lilly" warned Snape.
"No I will never let you hurt Harry!" she screamed. "NEVER! Expelliarmus"
"Avada Kedevra." A flash of green light shot from the end of Snape's wand. It collided with Lilly's spell and overpowered it. Lilly collapsed to the floor. A tear ran down his face as he stepped over Lilly's motionless body. He raised his wand and pointed it at Harry "Avada Kedevra." Green fired from the end of his wand and hit what seemed to be an invisible wall. The spell did not work on Harry. Snape could hear the sound of a motor bike from a distant. He jumped out of the window and said "accio broom." He landed on the broom and took off into the night.
The noise of the motor bike was getting louder as each second passed.
"We have to go to breakfast mate" came Ron's voice "time to get up."
Harry opened his eyes and found a fully clothed Ron trying to wake him up. "Okay then, I'll meet you down there."
Ron walked out and Harry laid there thinking about the dream he just had. He could not work out what it meant. He rolled back over and tried to go back to sleep. When he couldn't he climbed out of bed and put his glasses on. He found a note on his bed side table. It was from Dumbledore:
Come and see me as soon as possible!

He got dressed into his clothes and made his way out of the common room. On his way he ran into Peeves. He seemed to have found a new joy in pelting trophies form the trophy room at passers by. "Protego" Harry was right then. When Peeves threw a trophy at him it hit a wall and went flying back at him. Peeves seemed to get bored when it stopped working and floated through a wall and out of Harry's sight. He did not pass anyone else on the way there. Harry reached the gargoyle and said "Lemon Sherbet" the Gargoyle jumped aside at once.
He climbed up the steps and opened the oak doors leading to Dumbledore's desk. Dumbledore was sitting on a large chair behind it. "Come in Harry, take a seat" he began as he motioned towards a chair opposite him. Harry sat down and Dumbledore continued. "I have asked you to come here today because I believe that Voldemort has just entered the castle and as you can imagine we fear for your safety. As a precaution we have decided that you are not to leave this office. It is for your own good" he ended.
"Who is 'we'?" Harry asked.
"Professor Snape is here also" Dumbledore said as Snape appeared from out of the shadows near Dumbledore's desk.
"Ohh right I see" Harry said in a displeased tone.
Dumbledore went on "there is clearly a lot of explaining to do-"
"Alohomora!" the door flew open. It was Voldemort. He pointed his wand at Dumbledore "Avada Kedevra."
