Chapter 1 - A Chair, TV and Popcorn
I sat in the basement on the computer, playing the Demon Tournament game on the Adult Swim website. I was beating up Sesshoumaru when I heard my mom's footsteps coming towards the stairs to the basement.
"Lybee! Don't stay up too late watching TV or you'll get too sucked in! And I want you to go to sleep at a decent time!" she called down the stairs.
"I won't stay up too late!" I lied. It was Saturday, my favorite day of the week. Not just because I didn't have to go to school, but because Inuyasha was on around one in the morning.
"Okay! Goodnight!" she said. "Sleep tight!" She came downstairs to the basement to give me a kiss. She then went back upstairs to go to sleep. I waited awhile before going back upstairs, just to make sure she was asleep.
I tiptoed up the stairs and into the kitchen. "There it is," I said as I looked in the cupboard and found the popcorn. I grabbed it, took off the plastic wrapper, and placed it in the microwave. "Three and a half minutes should do it," I said to myself as pressed the buttons. I pressed the start button and watched the popcorn as the bag puffed up and the popping sounds got louder. 'Thank goodness Mom sleeps like a log.'
The popcorn didn't take long to cook and I stopped the microwave before it beeped, just in case. I took out the steaming bag and opened it. A large amount of steam came out. It smelled deliciously of butter.
"Mmmmm," I said as I took the bag with me down the stairs to the basement, where my bean bag chair was waiting for me in front of the TV. I picked up the remote, sat down, turned on the TV, and ate some popcorn. Full Metal Alchemist was on. I watched Edward battle with another soul trapped in armor. Next was Ghost in the Shell. I watched that, but I really dislike that show. I only watched it so I could see the next show - Inuyasha. Finally it was on. 'Yes!'
Inuyasha and the rest of the group were walking, looking for Naraku and more demons who had any jewel shards. Kagome was walking alongside her bike, with Shippou in the bike's basket. Right when they were about to talk, a strange thing opened up in front of me. When I looked at it, I thought it looked like I was seeing the top of a fuzzy-looking gray tornado. The wind it was made of was growing stronger. I tried to hold on to my bean bag chair, but it was moving across the floor at an alarming speed! I let go and was sucked in by the wind!
I felt like I was spinning. My long blonde hair was going every which way and shirt kept threatening to come up. I held my shirt down with one hand and used the other to try and control my hair. I began to feel dizzy, so I closed my eyes tight. Suddenly, the wind disappeared and I tumbled and crash landed on the grass.
"What the hell?" I heard someone yell as I fell. I also heard gasps and screams. They all seemed to be familiar voices.
I got up, brushed myself off, straightened my hair, and turned around. My eyes became wide and my mouth hung open. I couldn't believe who I saw looking back at me.
Shippou, Sango, Miroku, Kirara, Kagome, and INUYASHA!
I'm sure they thought I looked strange, with my tight blue jeans and sky blue tee shirt.
My heart raced. I somehow found my voice and said, "Pinch me, I'm dreaming." I hit the ground with a thud and everything became dark.
So that's the first chapter! I think it's kinda short but I must not worry over it. Oh, and I'm a bad authoress! I left you at a cliffhanger! Muahahahaha! Go on, click a button or something. Next chapter coming soon to this story near you.
