It was early morning in Ylisse, and in Castle Ylisstol, Chrom was up, bright and early, before everybody else (as he usually was). He had already eaten, and was anxiously awaiting Frederick's search party to return. Every day, for the past three months, he had sent Frederick, Cordelia and their new recruits out as a search party to look for Robin. They had already searched in the most logical places they could think of, like the Dragon's Table, and Mount Prism, but alas! No luck. Chrom looked at the grandfather clock that was in the room. It was eight o'clock. Frederick's search party always arrived bang on time, and to back this up, just as Chrom turned his gaze away from the clock Frederick walked into the room.

"Greetings sire."

"Any luck?"

"I'm sorry sire, but now we have checked all of Plegia. Still no sign of him."

"...As I expected. You may leave now, Frederick."
"As you wish, sire." Frederick backed out of the room, and closed the two large wooden doors behind him. Chrom sighed, and slumped down in a chair that was up against the west wall of the spacious, white room. All of Plegia had now been searched over a month and a half, and still nothing! Chrom was a resilient man. He never gave up easily. But now, he was starting to feel defeat. If Robin wasn't found by tomorrow morning, he'd call off the search parties. There was no point in searching anymore; Robin was a lost cause. Since the land was in a time of peace, why would Robin be needed? Chrom got up, and decided to return to bed. He was too angry to go about doing things now.

A few hours later, and Cynthia had just woken up. Her hike all the way up to Mount Prism had taken its toll. She had arrived back at the castle at midnight, where Chrom and Sumia were freaking out over her disappearance. They said that if she "ever hiked up to Mount Prism by herself again, she'd be grounded for a year." She wanted to tell them why she had gone up there, she really did. But they would hate for it. Lucina would kill her. Instead, she had said that she, "had to go and stop the Wyvern King" and not because she had to hide her diary in a place where nobody could find it. Sure, she could have just destroyed it, but she still wanted to keep it. She had a bunch of happy memories in that diary, and every so often she would want to sneak back up their whenever she was feeling down to go and remind herself of those memories. She yawned, got out of here bed, and took her usual clothes out of her wardrobe. She took off her night gown, and got into her brown-striped dress, put on her belt, and her armour, and left to get some toast (Yes, is a thing in this world. Just because they don't have toasters doesn't mean they can't have toast! Ever heard of the fire magic spell, "Toastillipicus?" It toasts bread. The more you know).
