lol hey world. it's meeee! i'm back - well, sort of. i mean, i wrote this thing. so i'm alive at least (because i know you were all like "omg where is hannah i miss her so much~" only not really because you probably didn't notice i was gone). anywho, i love x-files with every fiber of my being and fox and dana are soulmates obviously~!
anyway um enjoy this thing and go listen to it had to be you by motion city soundtrack, because that's where the title is from.
It's curious, Dana thinks, where the years have taken them and how things have changed (even though they never really do). As it turns out, her partner is more of a mystery than any of the cases he chooses. It would seem that any time they get close to an answer—any answer—he thinks of another question. She's beginning to realize that this cycle will never end—and that she doesn't really want it to.
This is her life, what she lives for. If she isn't helping him hunt down one mythical creature or unseen entity, it's another. With her mantra of "there must be a reasonable explanation," she doesn't truly believe any of this. She keeps going, however, because he does—and if she believes in anything at all, it's him.
It doesn't make sense, really, that this should be the case. After all, science is her religion (when religion fails her, anyway, which is more often than not). He doesn't fit any of her formulas; he refuses to be confined to simple words on the page of a federal report. She is frustrated by the inspirational effect he has on her—she looks up to him intently despite the fact that he is the antithesis of everything she holds dear.
With every knowing look and innuendo, every moment alone and "Scully," he's securing his place in her life (and forging out a spot in her heart that she didn't know was empty). She'll sigh and raise her eyebrow and disagree with him every chance she gets, but there's nowhere else she'd rather stand than next to him.
ok bye have a nice day! :D
