Courtney exhausted from work started her five minute walk home. She stopped for a moment when she thought she heard footsteps behind her. She stopped and look back to see nothing behind. She started walking more quickly to find herself in front of her apartment and went inside. She scrambled to find her keys in her purse. She jammed the key into the doorknob and went inside locking the door. She was just tired so she quickly took a bath and jumped into her bed to find herself sleeping after only a few minutes. Courtney slept happily knowing she had a day off of work to go to Bridgette's birthday party. She can't believe she is already 20! She was also happy that she knew Duncan wouldn't come because he rarley goes to events. She was still mad at him after what happened on the island and she hoped to never see him again.

It was 8 A.M and she quickly rushed over to Bridgette's house already to see everyone there. Lindsay and Beth were blowing up balloons. DJ and Geoff were out getting drinks. Cody and Eva were setting up decorations. And everyone else was just sitting.

Bridgette appeared with a clipboard in her hand and was all excited.

"Courtney finally you're here now we're just short one person and we're good to go!" Bridgette said excited.

"But everyone is here" Courtney said looking around at everyone and noticed one person wasn't here.

"Wait, You don't mean-" Suddenly Courtney was cut off.

" Well Hello there Princess" A voice behind her that sounded familiar. But she knew she didn't need to turn around to know who it was. When she finally did turn around he was inches away from Courtney and smirked. She gave him a cold look then stormed out of the room with Bridgette behind her.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at Duncan who was smiling innocently.

" What did i do?" He said with a grin.

"Bridgette Why did you have to invite him? You know we don't get along" She said with a frown.

"Come on Courtney you know you had to face each other sometime,It just happened to be today." She said slowly. "Plus it's my birthday so you can't be starting anything and he can't either this is supposed to be a happy day!" As she started heading towards the door.

"Fine but this is only because I love you" She said starting to grin.

Courtney and Bridgette finally came out and everyone just got back to work.

"Courtney can you start baking some cookies i love how you make them" Bridgette saying all giddy.

"Alright"

Bridgette left helping Geoff and DJ bring the refreshments in.

Courtney was heading into the kitchen when Duncan blocked the doorway on purpose.

" Um, Can you move?" Courtney said annoyed.

Duncan loved getting on Courtney's nerves so he started teasing her.

" Say please"

Courtney refusing to do what Duncan asked pushed him out of the way and continued into the kitchen

"Duncan, Can you please leave your presence irks me" She said while giving him a death stare.

"Princess if you want me just say so."

"After Total Drama Island I don't even want to be in the same region as you but here you are!"

Duncan cross to Courtney so that he is right in front of her face. She fights the urge to blush. Duncan gave her a smirk Courtney tried to shift away from under the clutches of Duncan but he was too quick for her and held her tightly. Just when Duncan was about to lean in for a kiss. Courtney shrieked and Duncan backed away from her with his ears ringing. Everyone rushing in to find Courtney smiling and Duncan massaging his ears.

"Courtney, Why were screaming like a banshee?" Blurted out Geoff

"Sorry I saw bug getting near me and I went with my instincts" Referring to Duncan.
