Optimus Prime had never been a sentimental being
Optimus Prime had never been a sentimental being. He never had any time to be one since he was always fighting someone or something. Nothing had ever really stolen his heart or left an impression on him… that is until he met Bee.
The little autobot had looked so scared and alone when he came to join them that he had to show him around personally or it would have just rusted him on the inside. He didn't tell the young bot who he was until after all was said and done… and then Bee fainted.
They became comrades, always helping one another in any way that they could. At first, Bee was slow and clumsy, constantly messing things up and getting himself in trouble. Over time, he became a good soldier though, and made Optimus very proud.
Optimus became a bit concerned for the little bot when he started to study a race called "humans". They were inferior beings who were, as Bee called them "squishy". However, he was determined to know more about them… it was weird.
It paid off though… Optimus had to send him to Earth because he was the only person who knew anything about the humans. During the journey, Bee was attacked and his vocal cords were damaged… Optimus never forgave himself for allowing that to happen to the innocent bot. Ratchet tried to fix them, but they just wouldn't work.
It pained Optimus to watch him leave without the ability to communicate with the Squishies.
Several years passed and finally Optimus got the call from Bee that he had found a boy who had in his position something that could lead them to the All Spark. Optimus was jumping for joy inside as he and the other Autobots went to Earth and disguised themselves as automobiles to blend in easier.
Bee lived up to his name… his human name that is. He was yellow and it complimented him greatly… it made him look cute and innocent….
But Optimus wasn't allowed to say this… he wasn't supposed to be a sentimental being…
Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots, is not a sentimental being…
So why does he have Bumble Bee's face carved into the inside of his chest plate?
... waves this is old... really old... I just never realized that I never put it up here v this is supposed to be a one shot, but I have had lingering thoughts making it a bit longer and adding Bee's thoughts into the mix and maybe even Sam's at one point. So, what do you guys think? Should I expand on this and give it a bit more thought or should I just leave it as is? (If I expand it, my club leader would be really happy though lol)
