But he couldn't help but thing that the other had been beautiful.
Marluxia had been truly beautiful, with his rose petals and flowers and his elegant way of speaking.
But Marluxia had died.
Gone, just like that, along with his roses.
All thanks to Sora.
Sora.
Sora would live.
He would live on, past this adventure and all others after it.
He would grow to an adult, marry, have children.
And inevitably he would grow old.
Old and ugly, through years of neglect and age.
And then sooner or later Sora would die too.
Sora realizes that it all comes down to that claustrophobic choice between living ugly or dying beautiful.
And he's just a little scared.
