"Alright then. I had tomorrow set aside, but since we're all done, take tomorrow to rest. I'll see you guys back in the clubroom!"

Haruhi folded up the checklist and stood up, preparing to leave without paying, as usual.

Suddenly I felt extremely uncomfortable. The oddness of the past few days since the revelation by Asahina-san and Nagato was coming to a head, and I just knew that we were at a turning point.

The chance was here; I couldn't let her go. If Haruhi left now, we would be doomed to repeat the same two week cycle again.

She was approaching the door. What should I do? What can I do? Just what made me think that I was different from the previous ten thousand plus Kyons who had all tried, but failed to break out of the loop?

The obvious solution struck me. But there must have been something about it, something that had failed. Otherwise, why would no one have attempted it up to now?

Heck, I had nothing to lose. Even if I failed, the loop would just go on another time. Or the world could be destroyed.

That would be preferable.

Anyway, I decided to pull the metaphorical trigger.

"Haruhi, what else do you want to do?"

She suddenly spun around and ran back to the table, stopping right in front of me.

"I'm glad you asked, Kyon! I know you're a serial procrastinator, so your homework's definitely not done. I wanted the club to finish their homework, but it seemed as though you were all tired. However, since you asked, we'll do our homework tomorrow then!"

She turned to address the rest.

"9 outside the station tomorrow!"

I woke up and turned towards the clock.

8 am.

I picked up my phone and looked at the calender.

1st September.

Finally.
