I know someone else did this, but this is what I think the note Cat wrote to Bones would say.

Dear Bones,

Being with you the past couple months had been the best of my life. But this has to stop. I can't let more blood of the ones i love be spilt. You and I both know that it's only a matter of time before someone wanted revenge for what we did. They might go affter my mother, or you. I couldn't bear it if either one of you were killed.

No matter how cleverly you managed things and how sneaky we were, the government would catch up to us. Sooner of later, we'd get in a situation that even you couldn't get us out of. Even if it wasn't the government, it might be someone else. Maybe one of the vampires that got away.

And then there's my mother. She'd run things between us with her inevitable attempts to run off. She wouldn't go with you because she can't stop seeing vampires as bad. We both know she'd rather die than go with you.

Then there's the little problem that you wouldn't age, and I would. You'd want me to change. And I'd refuse. That would drive us farter apart.

We have to play the hand we are dealt. Fight the battles we can win.

You should move on with your life and I'll do the same.

I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me.
