Don't Blink
There's an angel in my garden,
I always stare at it when I walk passed,
It doesn't move if I don't blink,
So I don't blink.
My mother says that I'm being silly,
A statue is a statue, nothing more,
It's not going to move,
But I still don't blink.
I dreamed it crept into my bedroom,
And it was pitch black and I couldn't see,
And it was going to get me,
And when I woke up I didn't blink.
My cat went missing once,
I saw it by the angel,
The angel must have gotten it,
So I don't blink.
Once I hear the angel inside me,
It was laughing, it made me scared,
My mother told me not to worry,
But I didn't ten.
