The Ghostly Mutant
Chapter 1
In a cemetary...A group of adults and one small child stand before a grave with their heads down in silent prayer.
"Daddy, is Mommy in Summerland like Godmother Natalie?",asks the little girl as she looks up at the man beside her.
"Yes, she is. Come on it's getting late.",says her father as the group quietly leaves in their cars. The little girl picks a tiny flower and puts it by the grave that reads: Harriet Moore. Beloved daughter and wife. 1968-2003.
"Kelly, hurry up.",says the man as Kelly runs towards her father's car and buckles herself in.
The car stops at a modest one story home with beautiful flowers in the front of the house. The two get out of the car as Kelly and her father, Tim go inside their home.
"Mommy, would have liked her funeral Daddy. Why did that driver have to be taking drugs? Didn't he realise that she was my Mommy?",asks Kelly as Tim hugs his daughter.
"We'll never understand, Kelly. Go and get ready for dinner.",says Tim as he fixes them something to eat. Kelly gets out of her black clothes and puts on some p.j.'s. Then she goes and washes her hands.
Tim calls Kelly as they sit down at the dinner table but one chair is empty. "You do realise that you'll have to go back to school tomorrow, Kelly. Now remember that you can't use your powers to scare your teachers.",says Tim as Kelly nods.
"But it was funny how scared Mrs. Gare was when I made the chalk write all by itself.",says Kelly smiling.
"Yes, but do you remember what happened afetrwards?",asks Tim as Kelly nods sadly.
"Nobody wanted to be my friend after that.",says Kelly as they clear their plates and watch TV.
After watching TV...Kelly falls asleep as Tim puts his daughter to bed.
The next day...Tim wakes his daughter up as she gets ready for school. Then he drives her to her elementary school as she slowly walks towards her classes.
"Hey everybody. Look it's the freak. I wonder if she can get this....back.",says a larger boy as his group surrounds her while the leader grabs Kelly's Reading Book from her hands.
"Hey give that back, you big bully.",says Kelly as she tries desperately to get her book without using her powers. The leader pushes her forhead as she falls down and cries.
Then she gets up and she points her finger towards the boy as he floats a few feet off of the ground. The leader drops her book and Kelly quickly gets to her class leaving the little boy in mid-air.
