"Tender Blossoms of Age"

Okay, this is a little something that I wrote. I do hope that you like it.

This is a "Flame of Recca" fic that I just thought up. What if Domon had a little sister and what if she falls in love with the resident ice man? Yep, another Mikagami fic that makes him fall right back to the charms of an original character. This is just a little teaser scene. There might be other parts to follow. If you would like me to continue, just say so in your review. If I don't get enough, I won't continue with it. I think that this could stand alone so…

"Mikagami-san…"

Mikagami Tokiya's eyebrows quirked when he heard her use the old formal address for him.

It had been a long time since he had heard her use it.

He turned his head to look at her, not quite expecting what he would see.

Kerumi had stopped walking a long time before. She wasn't smiling or frowning, actually he couldn't see her face at all. Her dark head was bowed and somehow he knew that she didn't want to look at him.

He turned around completely to face her. The wind blew his long silverish hair in tangles but he didn't seem to notice.

Her own long black hair was being blown away with the wind, forming an intricate frame around her face

"Kerumi?" She finally looked at him when he called her name.

Ishijima Kerumi pulled the silky strands away from her face as the pink petals fell amongst her.

My Kerumi… Tokiya thought privately, admiring the way she looked. He didn't banish the thought this time. Not as if she would know anyway, or her oafish big brother for that matter.

She slowly, almost hesitantly neared him. It almost puzzled him to madness when she stopped right in front of him.

Liquid warm brown eyes met icicle blue ones when she lifted her face to look directly at him. "Mikagami-san." She whispered so privately that only he could pick it up. "Forgive me. Gomen nasai."

His eyes widened considerably with the next thing she did. He didn't see it coming. He hadn't read that she was going to kiss him.

It didn't even dawn on him that he should respond as much as he wanted to.

It was done as soon as it was begun and he didn't even get the chance to say anything for she ran away before he could even find the strength to speak.

He didn't get to follow her but just stood there like an idiot, missing the warmth of her lips already.

It's very short. I know. Oh yeah, this happened maybe about three years after the happenings in the anime so that makes Mikagami 20 and my character, Kerumi, is 17.
