I was handed a crudely wrapped square. I had to admit I was scarred, so far the presents I had gotten didn't exactly scream Max. Nudge thought she was being funny and got me a book called 100 Ways to tell if He likes you to. Gassy, god Knows how Nudge and Angel convinced him, got me a book called Flirting 101. See a pattern? Both of witch I quickly hid in my backpack before anyone could see them. Iggy gave me his lucky match set. So you can see my apprehension was justifiable. I sure hope it's not embarrassing was my only thought as I took the gift from Angel.

"Don't worry its not embarrassing Max" Darn that cute 6 year old voice. I couldn't even get mad at her for reading my mind.

That's right folks the notorious Voice in my head is still there. Thought I got lucky did you and it went away did you? You should have figured out by now that if it is bad it will happen to my Flock.

"Ya come on Max open it", encouraged the Flock, well excluding Fang but that's just Fang.

So that's how I ended up with a blank book in my lap and wrapping paper and the Flock laughing at my dumbstruck expression. What was I going to do with a blank book?

Fang taking pity on me said, "It's laugh a diary laugh Max."

I was still totally clueless, I knew that diaries were for girls but what the heck do you put in them?

Maximum, Maximum, diaries are to put your inner most thoughts in. Everything you are thinking, you know like your feelings for Fang perhaps?

You know Max it is not really smart to argue with the voice in your head. I know everything about you … and how Fangs smiles light up your day.

If I didn't know any better I would say it was almost smug, but it did tell me about the diary so let it slide.

When I went back to paying attention, the flock was all staring at me funny.

"What" I asked self concisely, had I given away that I was a freak and having an argument with my self?

"No Max you just sorta looked distracted, nothing like a freak."

"God Angel could you not read my mind for like 10 seconds?" She could find out I like Fang, O My God did I just say that?

"I already know and yes you did." With that she went off with Gassy and Iggy and Nudge to the lake that was near the cave we inhabited recently. This meant leaving me and Fang alone which in turn meant me blushing and making a fool of my self. O My God he's walking towards me, what am I going to do.

Was the Voice just trying to comfort me or was I imagining things? But I didn't have time to ponder that thought because Fang is starting to talk and is still looking nervous.
