DISCLAIMER: I don't own Uta No Prince-sama nor its characters. I only officially own the plot, story, and the OCs. Unless I state that I own something, it is rightfully to the person who made it. Ex: Song lyrics.
THIS DISCLAIMER IS IMPLIMENTED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE STORY.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This story is inspired by Bebel1213'S story, "Gone". I have asked permission from the author about the similaities our story will have and she has granted me permission.
This has been published in on 4/29/13. I have seen a story a lot similar to this and I can honestly say that I am not happy about it. I can truthfully say that I am somewhat possesive of my story. Not only does that author have the part wherein Haruka will go away, but that author also has words similar to "What if she isn't the same person anymore?". Those are not the exact same words but the point is there.
I placed this A/N on the date: 3/15/14. I wrote it in this 1st chapter ( and to the 15th and 16th chapter)to alert that author. I don't mean to be selfish, I would've not placed this IF that author asked permission from me. Or even at least told me.
If ever you're reading this, you know who you are. I am not mad, I just hope that you'll message me about this.
Okaayy...Now let's put all those bad feelings away and let's START!
Are you ready?
Narrator's POV
Nanami Haruka smiled proudly as she stood in the sidelines of the stage. Music blared and STARISH energetically sang and danced Maji Love 1000%.
DOKI, DOKI, de kowerasou 1000% HEY!
To say she was proud of them was an understatement. She felt so much beyond that.
She could make thousands of songs if needed. As long as it will always be like this, her being their composer and them being idols that give people joy.
5! Are you ready?
She didn't want to be greedy but this is what gives her happiness. Not only did she reach her dreams, but she's also surrounded by a lot of wonderful people that she'll always be thankful for.
2,1!
That is why every night, she prays that it'll forever be like this. She'll give up anything just for it to always be like this.
Saa Let's Song!
She doesn't know what she'll do if all of this just suddenly crumbled down.
Haruka's POV
I felt a bit of longing as I watch them perform. They have been so busy these days that I hardly even see them anymore. Stop. You know that they're just working hard. Don't be too selfish. A voice said in my head and I felt guilty for even thinking that way.
Besides, even I have been busy too. I'm asked by Mr. Saotome to make compositions for another album. So far, I have given him a total of 12 songs, yet he accepted none of them.
There must be something missing.
I then heard my phone ringing, it is an unknown number. I've been receiving call like these from companies that wants STARISH to be in their projects. So of course I answered.
"Hello, this is Nanami Haruka speaking." I said.
"Good evening my dear, I see your boys are doing quite a good job in their concert. Such amazing music you make too." The caller answered.
"T-Thank you, and who might you be?" I asked.
"Sorry my dear, but time is running. Immediately resign and come to the park 30 meters across the arena. Make sure to arrive by yourself."
"W-What do you mean?"
"There's a bomb in the arena and your grandmother is with me as a hostage. Don't follow me and I'll kill her. Now, is that enough reason for you to do what I want? You have thirty minutes. Go." He ended the call.
My knees immediately gave away. I slumped to the ground as my hand held my phone, trembling.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know if what he's saying was true.
.
.
.
But I'm too frightened to not do what he says.
"Nanami!"
I quickly stood up. I don't want them to suspect anything. I then turned around and smiled at them.
"That was amazing everyone!" I told them cheerfully.
"Really? I kind of messed up a bit in the chorus, I hope no one noticed." Ittoki-kun said sheepishly.
"Don't worry, I don't think anyone did. Besides, mistakes can't be prevented. You all did a great job out there!" I cheered. Time is running out, I have to go.
"You guys have to go, your fans are waiting!" I told them and their eyes widened at their realization.
"Yikes, we have to go!" Syo-kun said and they all followed him to the stage.
As I saw them turned their backs, grinning in anticipation I felt a huge wave of sadness wash over me.
"Thank you, everyone." Tears ran down my face as I stood there. I don't think anyone heard me, but still.
I quickly wiped my tears away and started running to the office of Mr. Saotome. Once I arrived, I quickly got papers and a pen. I then started writing.
Dear Mr. Saotome ,
I resign as the composer of STARISH.
I have other dreams that I want to accomplish and being their composer only gives me a burden. I once have dreamt of being a composer. Now that the dream has come true, I realize how hard being a composer is. Especially if the people you are composing for aren't really worth it.
Please do me a favor, though. I know I have no right to ask of this, but I wish that you would assign a person that deserves to be STARISH's composer. A composer that makes wonderful music that will bring joy to everyone. One that would help them in their times of need and support them throughout.
Thank you for the opportunities you have given me but I believe this is not where I belong.
Sincerely the former composer of STARISH,
Nanami Haruka
I placed the letter in an envelope, and started with another letter.
Dear STARISH ,
I am not your composer anymore.
I have other dreams that I would want to reach and being your composer is not one of them. I don't want to live a life I don't even want.
I'm getting tired in this job. Every single composition I gave to Mr. Saotome lately has all been rejected. Every single one of them. Do you even know how that feels?
Of course not.
Surely, you all have talents and I hope that a wonderful person would be your composer. A composer that makes music that you will all love and appreciate. A composer that touches everyone's hearts. Then most of all, a person that could stand you guys.
Sincerely Your Ex-composer ,
Nanami Haruka
The meaner, the better. The faster they will get over me or –possibly- hate me.
I folded both letters and I put them on the middle of the table. I got up from the chair wiped my tears and walked out of his office.
I opened the door to go out but instead I went face to face with STARISH and Mr. Saotome.
"Ms. Nanami , what were you doing in my office? " Mr. Saotome asked . This is really not the right time to get stuck in here. I only have a few minutes left!
"Nothing really." I smiled.
"Ms. Nanamiiiii, you know you are not allowed to go to my office unless it is needed. Now answer, why were you in my offiiiiicceee?" He asked.
"I-I'm sorry." I stated and gave a small smile. I turned my heel and walked away, I knew they were still looking at me and when I knew was far enough yet I can still be heard I turned around, with tears running down my cheeks and said :
"Thank you."
The moment I finished I started running as fast as I can.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... " I whispered .
'You can't turn back now.' a voice said in my head. I knew that. Yet I have to keep in mind the whole reason I'm doing this.
"I know that ." I whispered to myself, panting while tears are falling. I took a look at my phone again and I only have 5 minutes left. It's alright, I just have to cross this road and get to the park. Then everything will be alright.
I was crossing the road when suddenly I heard a beep from a car . Then everything went in a flash . The last thing I saw was a blonde haired girl standing in front smirking before I blacked out.
Ittoki's POV ( A few moments earlier )
"You guys have to go, your fans are waiting!" Nanami told us. Oops, I forgot. I sheepishly thought to myself.
""Yikes, we have to go!" Syo said and we all turned our back and went to the stage,
I grinned widely in anticipation. Let's go! I thought cheerfully to myself. I glanced back and my eyes widened when I saw tears coming out of Nanami's eyes. She said something, but I didn't get to hear it.
I got worried and paused, but Tokiya pulled me towards the stage. Right after this, I'm going to ask her about it.
:TIMESKIP:
We were all tired by the time the concert ended. The fans were so energetic, I love them all! Then I suddenly remembered something.
"Excuse me, have you seen Nanami?" I asked a staff member.
"Ah yes, Nanami-san. She went inside Mr. Saotome's office not too long ago." the staff member replied.
"I see, thank you!" I told the staff and he just smiled at me and walked away.
"Everyone, was it just me that saw Little Lamb crying before we went back to the stage?" Ren asked all of us and my eyes widened in surprise.
"You saw her too?" I said.
"Even I did. Well, not exactly but I heard her say something about 'Thank You'." Tokiya explained.
"That's strange. Honestly, I don't know if you guys saw but before we greeted her she slumped on the ground and she slightly trembled. As if she was afraid of something yet when I called her, she just stood up as if nothing had happened." Syo told all of us.
"Where is she?" asked Masato.
"A staff member told me that she is in Mr. Saotome's office." I informed.
"Let's go then." Cecil stated as we went to Mr. Saotome's office. Along the way, we saw him and told him that Nanami was in his office and he went with us too.
"Well then, let's go see if Ms. Nanami is there. Shall we? " Mr. Saotome told us while walking to the door . When we all right in front of the door it suddenly opened . Standing in front of us was Nanami with a bit of sore eyes and puffy cheeks. She looks like she cried .
"Ms. Nanami, what were you doing in my office? " Mr. Saotome asked . Shock was written all over her face. Then after a second her expression changed. She looked at us with a cold stare and composed herself.
" Nothing really." she said with a soft smile. I'll never get tired of seeing that smile.
"Ms. Nanamiiiii, you know you are not allowed to go to my office unless it is needed. Now answer, why were you in my offiiiiicceee?" He asked.
"I wrote a letter." She turned her heel and walked away, as if nothing happened. After a few seconds, she turned around, bowed, and said:
"Thank you."
Her eyes showed sadness as she said those words. Then I heard a door open and I turned to its source.
Everyone went inside Mr. Saotome's office and then we saw two envelopes placed on his table. The moment I saw "To: STARISH" my eyes widened in realization. I ran out of the room and ran after her.
"NANAMI!" I called hoping that she would answer. No, No, NO!
I won't let her go. Ever.
Narrator's POV
"Otoya..." Tokiya mumbled as he watched Otoya run after Nanami.
The others where not in a good state either. Syo held the letter with trembling hands. He slowly opened it, fearing what is written inside.
Syo opened the letter and his eyes widened while reading. He dropped the letter in his hands not wanting to read anymore.
"Nanami...Nanami!" he cried. His cries were enough for everyone to know what is written in the letter. Tokiya, trembling himself, gained the courage to readthe letter out loud.
After he read the letter no one uttered a word. Everyone was speechless and some of them re getting watery eyes, especially Natsuki.
"T-that n-not Haru-chan ! S-she will never say does mean things! " Natsuki cried.
"I think so too. It isn't her to say those words." Masato said agreeing with Natsuki.
"But what if...we really were just a burden to her?" Syo asked the question that was running in everyone's minds. They just feared the answer.
Then suddenly, someone came in the room, panting. Otoya.
"She's...gone."
Unknown Person's POV
Heh. That Nanami sounds like a nice girl. Too bad though.
"Oy, old lady do you know what will happened to your granddaughter if she follows my orders ? " I asked the old lady tied up in a chair .
"What do you mean! Don't you dare do anything to Haruka! " The old lady told me shouting.
"Can you please stop shouting? Anyway, I will let you go and I will turn off the bomb but that doesn't mean she's safe ." I said with a menacing smile plastered on my face .
"What?! What will you do to her? " the old lady said worriedly .
"Oh well…she's just gonna get crashed by a car that's all. Nothing to worry about. " I said. Her face has horror written all over it. "Don't worry, you can go look for her once we let you go. " I told her and before she even shouts at me again I put a drugged handkerchief over her mouth.
"For the mean time…let's put you to sleep. " I told her and her eyes widened and she easily fainted.
"So … Nanami Haruka let's see if you can survive." I said smiling.
