"Tomoe!" Nanami said happily.

"What?" Tomoe snapped, he was obviously not in a good mood today.

Nanami inwardly frowned. "I wanna go shopping. Do you wanna come?" She asked, trying to get him out of the house for a while.

"No." He said shortly.

"Fine, be like that." She said and pouted. "I'm going to town for a while."

*Flashback*

Tomoe was doing his normal daily cleaning, just brushing the dust off of the furniture. All of a sudden, Mikage popped out of nowhere.

"Tomoe." He said, holding his normal briefcase and wearing his light brown trench coat. (He looked like a drug dealer to be honest.)

Tomoe thought nothing of it, even though Mikage didn't come back that night. He thought maybe Mikage was off somewhere on one of his crazy adventures.

After a while though, he began to search for him everywhere, but the results didn't change at all.

And so he waited…and waited…and waited… Everyday that passed his hope in Mikage coming back dimmed.

But he still had some hope…

He still had hope, even after 20 years.

*Present*

"No, wait!" Tomoe shouted as he grabbed Nanami's hand. "Don't leave me." He added, softly enough so Nanami didn't hear him.

"Hm?" Nanami asked with a puzzled expression on her face.

"I'll come with you." Tomoe said quickly. "It might be good to…uh…get out for a while." He lied quickly.

"Um… Okay." Nanami said, still confused.

*In Town*

Tomoe and Nanami were in the ice-cream shop. He was watching her eat her blueberry ice-cream peacefully with that cute smile on her face. He didn't know why he was so attached to her. Maybe it was the way she ate, or laughed, or screamed at him, or maybe looked so helpless but still strong and confident at the same time.

Maybe it was how nobody was perfect, but to him, she was as close as could be.

She was his. And he was hers. It would always be this way. Till the end of time.
