"I don't want to earth bend" muttered the uninterested teen,
"Earth bending is overrated" he grumbled, sinking lower into his seat
His earth bending master glowered at him, sharpening his frightening glare until the lines in his forehead could deepen no further. He was hunched over, his face only inches away from the stubborn student that defied him. His breathing was heavy, and a strong arm stretched out to grasp the collar of his student,
"Listen kid, you've been getting on my nerves for the past few days. You've been nothing but a whingey whiney little punk. Just who do you think you are?" he rasped, his hot breath pouring down the neck of the kid who simply responded in a flat tone.
"The Avatar" mumbled the boy sarcastically,
The earth bending masters eyebrow twitched. Damn this kid. He thought to himself. Raava could've chosen anyone, any kid in this entire planet and she chose this pathetic excuse of a boy. The man pulled his glare away, and attempted to regain his composure. This wasn't him, this wasn't the jolly earth-bender chap who loved meeting people and this obstinate boy had no right to degrade him of his character. He gripped the collar tightly and fought to contain the turmoil of his emotions. Anger, impatience and an utter incomprehension of the boy and his odd ways had brought him to his limits. Still he'd managed to release his stalwart grip stand up erect. He even managed a smile, a forced impassive smile, but still a smile.
"Alright, I guess you're not feeling up to it" The elderly master stated roughly,
"I'll let you have the day off to...brush off whatever's happening to you" he stated plainly, despite knowing that the boys attitude was of the expected and typical.
The boy remained silent, his eyes dropping to the floor his remaining void of emotion.
"Until tomorrow Liran" he pressed a fist into his left palm and humbly bowed before his student,
Liran, the boy who sat before him, glanced up and felt and overwhelming sense of obligation to return the respectful gesture. He got up, ensuring his didn't stumble or lazily bump into something, as such was his nature and stood erect before he repeated the action. Bowing lower than his master,
"Until Tomorrow, Sifu Bolin"
The two stood back up and stared at each other. Liran's gaze was a blank one while Bolin's face seem to shower in emotion. The frown lines had retreated and in their place was stern expression, with eyes that seemed to scream a thousand words. Bolin couldn't comprehend his student and struggled to believe that such a boy held the responsibility of world. Liran had shown no inclination or acknowledgement to his obligation to the nations or the people as the Avatar. He'd been a block of wood since the day he'd arrived and a stubborn prick to his master, Bolin. Liran eventually took a step to the right and swiveled on his toes towards the gardens. Bolin could only gaze after him, his mind completely boggled. A strained sigh escaped his throat,
"Damn teenagers" he muttered and made his way back to Head Quarters.
Again. I'm bored. More scraps from my placid imagination. Lols I'm so depressed.
