The sky seemed empty in the light that beamed out from the house. The stars were invisible, moon hadn't rise.

The cold felt arctic, freezing winds.

Fabian had left his best friend's after-Christmas-soon-school-party. He needed air.

Shit cold air.

His cheeks burned. His stomach burned. He wanted to throw up.

Laughter, screams, singing.

Why was he so, so, so, so.

Stupid.

He would scream if he didn't stand in the shadows of the house.

Instead, he bit his nails.

"Fabian!"

Stupid!

"The thing you saw…" Simon's body heat. His breath, just next to Fabian. "I want to be normal…"
