"I'm always gonna need you Ally," he confessed to his best friend. He smiled down at the shorter girl as she looked back at him with sparkling eyes. It was true – Austin would always need Ally.
Who else would take the time to listen to his endless rants about pancakes? Or fix his appearance every time he spotted a hot girl? (Though he really didn't need to do it anymore, since his heart was set on one girl and one girl only.) Who else would genuinely lend an ear when something was troubling him? Or have the patience to deal with his crazy antics around Sonic Boom? Trish definitely wouldn't – she doesn't have the patience to do so. Dez wouldn't either – he was too wrapped in his own little world – if anything, Dez would probably join Austin's insane games around the music store.
Ally was the only person who would do all of these things for him. She would let him go on and on about pancakes. She would always play wingman (and horribly fail) whenever Austin would point out a girl he was slightly interested in way back during the early days of their friendship. She would lock the two of them up in the practice room when Austin had to let off some steam, listen to his words and after that, she would just let him go about Sonic Boom and let him play the instruments until he found his smile again.
Ally was the only one who truly understood him and he loved that about her.
He loved how she could easily read his mind with ease. He loved how she stroked his hair while listening to his emotional rants and how she would always cheer him up with a stack of pancakes. He loved how she knew the type of song Austin was going for and how she could always convey his thoughts into the perfect set of lyrics during their song writing process.
He loved the little things about her – the little things that made her Ally – just like how she loved the little things that made Austin, well, Austin.
Austin stepped closer to her and lightly wrapped his arms around her. He shyly smiled and shook his head before pulling her into a hug. He happily sighed as she hugged him back. She fit perfectly in his arms - it was as if they were two puzzle pieces coming together as one.
Though their relationship as a couple didn't work out, he decided that nothing else could make him feel as complete as having Ally by his side. (And maybe just maybe, if they tried again, it would work out – after all, she did steal his heart.)
So, yes, Austin would always need Ally.
There's no Austin without Ally.
He grinned widely before nuzzling into the crook of her neck.
"There's no way I can make it without you."
