A/N: After beating MegaMan: Maverick Hunter X with Vile, I decided to rewrite Vile's dieing scene and add a couple thing to it. Please enjoy.
The Last Statement of Vile
Can barely move, my entire body, short circuiting. I am . . . what do the humans call it . . . I am dieing.
Zero's scraped body is several yards away from me. So, X terminated him with his charge shot as well . . . good. That means his cheap victory over me can never be a sweet one.
Foot steps, someone standing over me.
"Sig . . . ma . . . I . . . I fought X, but I s . . . still don't understand. How can he ch . . . change the world? He's just a class B hunter." I managed to say
He ether doesn't hear me, or he doesn't care to respond to my statement.
"Tell me Vile." He speaks, calmly, coldly. "What exactly did you plan to do after you betrayed my generals? Would you have come after me? Stand before me as a Maverick Hunter or would you kneel at my feet and beg for my mercy for you pursuing your own agenda."
What would I have done! . . . what would I have done? I would have . . . I don't know
"I guess . . . I guess I was never too sure. I just . . . wanted to prove I was . . . better . . . stronger then X. And I did, ha ha ha ha, I did. . ."
Sigma had nothing more to say to me, he turned and began to leave me.
"Retrieve Vile." I heard him speak.
Retrieve me?
"I am n . . . not your puppet Sigma!" I don't know if he can still hear me, but I don't care, I will speak this. "I . . . I don't give a damn about what happens to this world! I m . . . may n . . . not hold the key to the future, b . . .but by defeating X I . . . I have validated my own existence. And th . . . that's all that matters to me. My name is Vile! I . . . I am . . . I . . ."
My speech function is failing, vision going off line.
I cannot finish my last statement.
My name is Vile. I am nether Maverick nor Maverick Hunter, I make my own path, regardless of wither its right or wrong and that is something, you, X, can never do, because you are a slave to what you believe is good.
