What was the point of dilly-dallying? Was the suspenseful delay really all people focused on in a love scenario? Yuffie had a great fear that all she wanted in life was to want things. Keeping them and having them keep her attention for long enough was a problem.

She watched Kairi routinely placing products back on the shelves in which they belonged. The store incorrectly used the term, 'Reshop' to name this undesirable task. Reshop sounds less laborious than Reshelf.

Yuffie flicked her name tag involuntarily. "Hey, do you think it'd be okay if I kissed you?"

Red-headed Kairi gave her a side stare, "Sure, if you can find out where the pink penguin goes."

"You think I'm kidding."

"You think you're funny." Kairi tossed the toy towards her loitering coworker, "Really, I want to empty these carts and leave."

Truth was Kairi was probably tired and moody because the day was so busy and she just wanted to go home and cuddle up next to her adorable boyfriend and watch television until she fell asleep. She didn't want to start an unexpected lesbian fling with someone from work and run away to a big city to major in art. It dawned on Yuffie that not only did she enjoy wanting, she also enjoyed wanting what she couldn't or shouldn't have. But that was human nature, wasn't it?

Kairi lightly bit her bottom lip, looking over a clipboard.

It was. Yuffie frowned. It really was.

The smaller girl looked over at the unsatisfied Smile Emporium employee, "Quit dilly-dallying, Yuffie."

My only note should be, "SURPRISE I'M NOT DEAD. –Laced"

This drabble can ignite into a chaptered fiction, but please don't take my word for it; History proves me to be terribly unreliable.
