"LAVENDER BROWN SEEN WITH MUGGLE CELEBRITY"screamed the headline of Witch Weekly.

Lavender Brown, 28, was photographed with a Muggle singer. There has been no word on the photographs from either party.

Brown, the once-popular wizarding singer, has become known for her short relationships and one night stands...

The article droned on, continuing to remind its readers of Lavender's past relationships, her time at Hogwarts, her sex life, everything the gossips at Witch Weekly could dream up.

Lavender sighed. Singing had always been a rather secret talent of hers. After the war had ended, Lavender had begun to sing at wizarding nightclubs, and earned herself regular gigs at Madam Puddifoot's. However, her busy career, which had started so quickly after the war ended never allowed her time to confront her demons and come to terms with the horrible experiences she'd been put through.

And so, she had run away from her demons in the way so many do; she turned to drugs, alcohol and sex. It gave her a thrill, to leave someone without warning, just as they had been getting attached to her.

For so long, Lavender had allowed her life to spiral out of control. During the past ten years, she'd gained absolutely nothing, and perhaps lost more than she cared to think about. "A rolling stone gathers no moss." she mused to herself, remembering the Muggle phrase Seamus had once loved.

Lavender was seated on the sofa of Dean and Parvati's living room, waiting and hoping.

"Lavender?" a male voice asked hesitantly.

"Seamus..." Lavender breathed.

She got to her feet and quickly hugged Seamus.

It wouldn't come immediately, and it would take a lot of effort from both Lavender and Seamus, but together, they could get their lives back on track.
