Ribera was looking over Damien Moreau's estate. Large, swimming pools, stables. This was how one retires in style. This wasn't so bad. As he was enjoying himself Nate Ford arrived.
Ribera: How did you get past security?
Nate: My team could've gotten to you even if your security team hadn't just decreased, and lost motivation. Anyway, just wanted to say goodbye. We'll leave you alone, as long s you don't hurt anyone again.
Ribera: I'll honor our agreement. I'll enjoy retirement, and Damien Moreau will remain in prison. The U.N. inspectors believe the attempt against Vittori was by fanatics unconected to me, partly because I'm not contesting the election. There might even be a Nobel peace prize in it for me.
Nate: You'll go down with De Clark and Gorbachev. Truth is they inherited dictatorships and tried to reform them. They didn't take over legitimate governments like you did.
Ribera:I know who you are Mr Ford. I have no desire to make an enemy out of you. But don't pretent you're better than me. What is it you say? You "Pick up where the law leaves off." That is exactly what I tried to do years ago. Crime was rampant, our leaders were more concerned with their own luxury than the good of the people.
Nate: So all your brutal measures were for the good of the people? And not for your wealth?
Ribera: I became corrupted by power. What would you do if you were in charge of a government? You just stopped the democratic process. Take care my friend, be wary of the corrupting influence of power.
