Summary: When Jordan Higgin's idol Derek Venturi gets into trouble and tryouts are held to be his backup, he is all too eager to fill the spot. But as time goes one Jordan uncovers secrets and memories and that were best left forgotten, not to mention the possibility that Derek's might be father and if that's the case then who is his mother? Prologue
"Derek Venturi has been put in the penalty box," Colin Raiser stated and taking a moment before adding, "for the forth time tonight."
"He needs to clean up his act," Jared Jorome commentated while shaking his head in vain.
On the other side of the television was a five-foot-ten sixteen year old boy. He had shaggy sandy brown hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. He played hockey and had an amazing singing voice which came in handy for his on the rise rock band. "Shit," Jordan muttered while multi-tasking and finishing his honors world history project that was not due for another six weeks.
"Just in," Colin stated," tryouts for Derek Venturi's hockey position as center will be held on Saturday afternoon at one pm sharp." "But keep in mind," Colin cautioned, "this is for his back up. Derek Venturi will still be starting or at least I hope so, for all of Canada's sake."
Jordan smiled to himself, this was his one chance, he had been waiting for this all his life, and now, he was going to do everything humanly possible to meet the great Derek Venturi, and of course, if he could secure his future at the same time, all the better. After all he always gets what he wants.
