For interview No. #8, I interviewed Darth Caedus, aboard his flagship the Anakin Solo.
INTERVIEWER – Good morning, Lord Caedus. May I have a moment of your time? I have several
questions which I would like to ask, with your permission, of course.
DARTH CAEDUS – As long as you never mention the name Jacen Solo, you are free to ask whatever
questions that you wish.
INTERVIEWER – Thank you. However, that was my first question. Why do you hate that name so much?
DARTH CAEDUS – Because I am no longer Jacen Solo. He was a weak minded fool that was unable to do
what was necessary in order to achieve peace and security for the New Republic, allowing the New Republic
to fracture into several factions. I, on the other hand, am willing and capable of doing whatever is required
to achieve peace, even if that means turning to the dark side to enforce peace.
INTERVIEWER – People want to get to know a sith lord outside of the dark side. How do you relax after
a hard day at work?
DARTH CAEDUS – There is no "outside the dark side" for a sith lord. How can anyone relax, when terrorists
and rogue factions like the jedi are constantly trying to kill you? My own uncle and cousin nearly succeeded
recently. My own family - the people that are supposed to love and support me unconditionally.
INTERVIEWER – Sounds very challenging. Do you have any hobbies?
DARTH CAEDUS – No, I have no time for hobbies. Trying to restore some sense of order from chaos takes
nearly all of my time. What little free time that I can find, I like to spend it with my daughter, Allana.
INTERVIEWER – What would you consider to be your biggest challenge?
DARTH CAEDUS – Attempting to restore order after the Yuuzhan Vong nearly destroyed the galaxy.
That would be my biggest challenge. It's hard to restore peace, when some groups of people insist on
continuing to fighting.
INTERVIEWER – Do you have any favorite foods?
DARTH CAEDUS – I would probably say chili. I've eaten over 50 varieties from over 25 different
inhabited worlds. Every culture that I encounter has at least one good chili recipe. Sometimes several.
INTERVIEWER – It sounds like you've traveled a lot. Is there any place that you call home?
DARTH CAEDUS – Just my trusted ship, the Anakin Solo. She has never failed me.
INTERVIEWER – Thank you for your time, Daddy Caedus.
