Reunion
I felt up to writing something else, so I wrote this little Aishiteruze Baby ficcy. This has minor spoilers, I suppose, for the manga ending.
x Reunion x 200 words
Katakura Kippei stood anxiously at the front of the train station in his business suit, having come straight from work.
He checked his watch. Two minutes to six. It was almost time.
A frown was on his face, an unusual feature for the easygoing Kippei.
He couldn't help being worried.
He hadn't seen Yuzuyu for so long...
She, having left with her mother, hadn't looked back.
Kippei had gone on as well, to a life with Kokoro. He even had his own five-year-old daughter.
He was nervous. What if Yuzuyu didn't recognise him, decked in his business suit with suitcase in hand?
He checked his watch again. One minute left.
What if he didn't recognise her? Yuzuyu must have changed in appearance, as she had only been in kindergarten when he had seen her last.
What if the two of them missed each other in the hustle and bustle of the train station?
The frown on Kippei's face grew more pronounced.
Time was up.
Then, he heard a voice. One that had changed a lot, but familiar to him all the same.
'Kippei-onii-chan!'
Kippei smiled, his worries forgotten, at the young woman standing in front of him.
Yuzuyu smiled back. x owari
