Tell me.
What can you fathom about work?
The word itself is rather diligent. Many meanings have been given, even though majorities phrase it down to one thing.
The plain, repeating style of hauling, moving and placing your workload. The method that is commonly stereotyped?
What would you consider appropriate in you solitary desk, lonesome from humanity?
Would you cheat your way through, make it seem like you have done more than you have precisely done?
Would you complain about nothing in particular, wanting time to fly?
Would the bell ring away at your sanity?
Would you create a friend?
Now, what would happen if your work became something... odder?
Your workload taken, but the enormity had only been beginning?
Your peers moving in synch, taking your spurious, paper-clad friend, furniture, and most specifically, your workload?
Dressed in trenchcoats, these coworkers' identities are obscured.
For that moment, in the very least.
What would happen if they took you and your lowly desk to another zone?
Would the crunching metal make you flinch?
Would the lust of flight and movement cause you vertigo?
Would the mechanical anxiety get the better of you?
And what would happen if it all stopped?
Suddenly, without any warning.
Now, what would happen if it all became exciting?
Would the troupe carry you away?
Would the woman's wheel cause you heartache, just as it did her?
Would the sky-high duo ask you to be headstrong with them?
Would the dancers invite you upon their solitary bar?
Would you find another friend, in which you created for your own imagination?
Would the men teach you how to roll with punches?
Would the spider show you how the climb even higher?
Would the strapped man help you see the skyline?
What would you do if your peers came back, excitement already in them as well?
Would you join in their fun, tossing around whatever was in reach?
Would you accompanying them in their exuberant dance?
Would you only watch, or would you go and be as reckless and daring as they all were?
And what would you do if they gave you back your workload?
It all had been changed for you.
They had shown you how to be free, ecstatic, wondrous with your life.
Now, tell me this.
Would you be done living in your monotony, steampunk world?
What would you do, holding the stack of colored papers?
Would you watch as the others threw their troubles away in the winds?
Would you let go, too?

AN: And there is that.
This could be considered a odd summary of the amazing show by Cirque Eloize, Cirkopolis.
I felt like writing something... new, per say, and came up with this.
