Autumn
By: Luna Celestia
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Spoilers: None, though it takes place sometime after Goblet of Fire
Disclaimers: Remus and Sirius, obviously, are not mine. J.K. Rowling, blah, blah, blah.
Author's Notes: This is my first fic in the HP fandom. I previously only wrote Vampire Chronicles stuff. This isn't my best work, I'm sure, but it was in my head and had to get out. I suppose that this really could be anyone, not necessarily Remus and Sirius, but it's definitely inspired by them and all the great R/S stuff I've been addicted to lately.

I dreamt of you last night, my love.
You lied naked in a great bed of fallen leaves, your autumnal hair blending in so well I thought the bed to be made of it at first, like Rapunzel fallen gently from her tower. Through the branches of the trees above, sunlight filtered onto your creamy skin, bathing you in the glow of morning. You slept, and I was there to watch over you. No nightmare plagued your thoughts, only the sweetest dreams of one accustomed to love and bliss.
On your hip was a feather that had fallen from the trees some time before. It hadn't disturbed your slumber, and I was loath to disturb you myself by removing it, so it stayed.
I awakened alone this morning, my love.
I lied weary in a great bed of fallen leaves, missing you.
