Lily walked down stairs to the common room. There she saw her fellow class mate James Potter sitting on the couch in front of the fire. When she reached the bottom of the stairs she realised he was talking out loud to himself.
"Why doesn't she understand? Why wont she believe me? She won't even give me a chance. Damn it Lily. Why did I have to fall in love with you seven years ago? Fate is so cruel. I've loved you since I first meet you, Lily. Why do you hae me? What can I do to prove how I feel about you?" With that James started to cry.
Lily stood there stuned. She never thought James was really in love with her. Enough so he cryed all alone in the common room seven years later. She walked over and stood next to James with out him realising it.
"James..." He looked up with a start. When he seen Lily he turned away. "How long have you been down here Lily?"
"Long enough. James look at me, please?"
James did as he was asked figuering she heard everything. Considering he hadn't been down here for long.
Lily ssat down next to James on the couch. She staired strait into his eyes.
"James, I don't hate you. I just feared tht you would tire of me and leave. James I didn't realise you were in love with me. Actually I feared it might be a crueal joke. But I DO NOT hate you. In fact, James, I love you. And I'm sorry it took me so long to realise how you truely feel about me."
"I love you too, Lily." James said as he leaned in and kissed her fully.
"Lillian Rose Evans will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend and my date for the Christmas eve mascarade tomorrow night?" "Yes James Henry Poter. I would be honoured to be your girlfriend and I would love to be your date for tomorrow night."
SIX MONTHS LATER AT GRADUATION
"Lily..." "Yes James."
James went down on one knee in front of his girlfriend pulling a small velvet box out of his pocket. He opened the box while saying, "Lillian Rose Evans you mean the world to me and I can't imagine my life without you. Will you make me the happiest person alive? Will you marry me Lily?"
"Oh James. Yes of course I'll marry you."
With that James put the ring on Lily's finger and kissed hr in front of everyone.
