Zetsu respects his Leader-sama. He respects him more than he can express.
Zetsu is the only one Leader-sama really trusts. He never spoke of this to him, but he knows.
Zetsu always knows.
Zetsu tells his Leader-sama everything.
Zetsu would never keep something from him. he would never dream of it.
Leader-sama trusts Zetsu. he would never doubt his loyalty.
Zetsu's only lied once.
Zetsu knows everything that happens.
Zetsu can hear the plants whispering. Every vine, leaf and root speaks to him.
They are his eyes and ears.

Orochimaru knew that.
Orochimaru found his way around it. he vanished for hours at a time.

He knew the second the door clicked behind the snake.
Zetsu didn't tell his Leader-sama. he knew there was nothing he could do.

Orochimaru was leaving.
Zetsu kept silent.
Leader-sama trusts Zetsu.
Zetsu would never lie to him.
