Judged
Isabel Night

The snow becomes a small trickle
As the divine goddess crowns the sky
"Time is a living circle," she says
"All that exists must blossom and die"

Does that make immortality unnatural?
Our deeds to acquire it
Null and void
If so
Would you still be with us?
Not encased in earth--
Laughing at the snow woman's demise

What have we gained from living forever?
A soul-drenched blood
Four hundred years of lies
No--
We made others suffer
Now it is our turn
To feel pain swallowed up on the inside

You, who refused to condemn us
Did you set the tone?
Our victims crying for vengeance--
Mortals living
Judging--
Never letting the truth be known

Humans--
So hypocritical
Even hard to understand
They who would condemn our actions
Would place their hands on our shoulders
Comforting, when we cried

Such contradictions exist
Only in the living mind
When the day comes
We must stand before Enma
As our victims hold nothing back

Moreover--
When he asks for the good in our souls
May you step forward and tell your tale
When he judges, plead for mercy
For only one person gave us true sympathy--
You
