Andy sat in the car looking at Nicole and Dean's home. It was a beautiful place with big front and back gardens for the boys to play in and garages for both cars. It looked as though it were from a bourchere advertising the American dream.

He got out the car and slowly walked to the door, which he found open. It had only been two days and while Louie and Patrice were great company he needed his daughter. Her two stepsons had yet to be told, he didn't know how they would take it. Both Charlie and Tommy adored Sharon or Grandma Sharon, he often heard that the two would boast about their grandparents at school and it made his heart hurt even more.

Nicole saw him come in and gathered the boys into the living room. Tommy sat close to Andy while Charlie was looking around.

"Where's grandma Sharon?" he asked with a toothy grin " is she hiding like i did last time" he smirked heading to the door. Tommy looked at his grandpa and shook his head.

As the oldest he felt he was more mature than hia brother. Tommy knew, he knew Grandma Sharon had been sick and he knew his step mom had been quieter than normal. He knew Grandma wasn't hiding.

The young boy got up and pulled his broher back to the sofa so Grandpa could tell them.

"Boys, Grandma Sharon isnt hiding." he began on shaky breath. "She's... she's gone away" he continued.

"Where? When is she coming back?" Charlie asked panicked.

"Grandpa, is she coming back?" Tommy asked looking at the older man. Andy could only shake his head.

"I'm sorry boys. Grandma isnt coming back she's..." his voice broke as Tommy hugged him.

"Why not?" Charlie asked. Nicole took her sons hand.

"Sweetheart, do you remember when your mommy was sick?" the boy had been young when his mother, Claire, had passed away but she hoped he would have some memory of her. Charlie nodded.

"Well, Grandma Sharon hasnt been well either and now, she is with your mommy" she told him. His eyes grew wide as tears welled up.

"Nooooo." he shouted and ran upstairs. Nicole sighed and went after him.

"Grandpa, do you think Grandma is sad now?" Tommy asked.

"Pardon." Andy looked at the kid.

"We are all crying like we can only remember that she's gone, instead of laughing about when she was here and she tried to read us stories and couldn't do the dragons voice so she had to call out to you so you would do it with her." he rambled looking down his hands. "Grandma never told you, but she was really good at voices. She just didn't want you to miss out" he revealed sadly.

"Oh kid, you're right. She was so amazing at storytelling" he smiled

"and she can still see us, just like mommy." Tommy smiled the kid was pretty smart for his age.

"Exactly kid but we can still miss her like crazy." Tommy agreed and held his grandpa tightly.

A few moments later Charlie and Nicole reappeared, the boys brown eyes were red from crying and he could Nicole had been crying too.

"I'm sorry Grandpa." he whimpered climbing into the older mans lap.

"thats okay kid." he ruffled his dark hair and they started exchanging stories of Sharon with toothy grin and fond smiles.
