"How many worlds are out there Master?" asked the small boy.
"Gosh, if I knew. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands. No matter what they are, where they are, or who lives there, you must always protect them Jex. It is your destiny to save them all." said the master. The boy had trained with the master for his entire life. His world had been destroyed, and there was no getting it back. He had been chosen. The sole survivor of his world would find his way to the master to be trained by the light.
"How do I save them Master?" the boy wondered. "Well I couldn't say that I know. All that I know for sure is that you will need to keep your light strong. You must find a hold a fuel for your fire and never let it run out or the worlds will be doomed. You are not the first and you will not be the last, but you are the most powerful." said the Master. To the boy, the master seemed like he had the wisdom of an old man, but the Master was young. He had been the boys master for as long as he could remember, but there was a friendly connection that is something an apprentice doesn't have with his Master. An apprentice is meant to have a feeling of rivalry and competition with his master but he doesn't feel that with his Master. He loved his Master like a son loves a father. The master had began continued his practice.
"Master?" the boy called. "Yes." the Master answered. "What is the Keyblade?" the young boy asked. The Master walked slowly towards him stretching out his arm and opening his hand. Quickly a small blade in the shape of a key had appeared in his hand.
"It is the weapon that you will soon command. It is the weapon with a mind of its own. It chooses it's wielded very carefully. It chose me and it chose you and it has chosen many others. If you train and keep your light strong, you can be the strongest Keyblade master yet." the Master taught.
"King Mickey, Master Yen Sid is here to see you." the Masters court Mage said with the strange voice that always made the boy smile. "Tell him I'll be there in a minute Donald." said the Master. The master signaled the boy to kneel down so he could speak to him on the same level. "You will be the light in the darkness." said the Master.
The boy watched as he walked away. What did he mean the light in the darkness? The boy was young and could not understand until years later. King Mickey knew what he would do. He knew how important he old be to himself and to someone that he didn't know yet. But he would one day save the life of a fellow master and save the worlds.
