Every Sunday the two remaining members of squad 7 would go to the park for morning brunch. And each day would end the same. Sakura would lose her hair clips. And, as idiotic it may look, they would scout the grass for them. Eventually finding them in time for training. Unlike many men, Naruto enjoyed searching for the lost items. Not only did he get to spend some time with Sakura, but the clips themselves fascinated him.
See, the Haruno always had a new hair accessory. Wether pink, purple or blue. And sometimes Hello Kitty or chibi characters he relished at the chance to investigate them all. His companion would laugh at him, saying he should join her at the mall with Ino and Hinata. They could 'doll him up'. As a mark he would sarcastically agree. So one day the pinkette allowed him to tag along with the other boyfriends. Hinata and Ino seemed delighted! Another pair of hands to carry their goods! Shikamaru and Sasuke smiled and chuckled at how ironic it was for Naruto to join them as Sakura's mate! The blonde would blush and peer at the girl with a sigh. He wished the snarky comments were true.
At 1:40 pm the group neared 'Konha Candy' a store for everything girl. And the second they entered the 3 woman and Naruto headed for the trinkets section. Many of the shoppers noticed a boy acting excited over girly thing but assuming the worse they strolled by. Oh there were so many clips! Animals, Stars, Hearts- he had never been surrounded by more plastic add-ons in his life!
From the corner of his azure eyes he spotted his female partner alone in the 'Love' section. So trotting to her, he clamped his hands over the green orbs and heard her laugh. "Smells like Ramen! Naruto!" she guessed correctly. "Your good Sakura-chan!" he complimented. "I'm a ninja after all!" She fumbled with a indigo bracelet cuffed on her wrist starring down at the floor. That's when the men noticed. Hidden in her pink locks was a bright yellow hairclip. Reaching over to comb the silk strands away he saw a face. Whiskers and winking at him, it resembled the Uzumaki perfectly!
"You made this?"
She nodded.
"That is so.....cute!"
Sweeping his hand into the pocket of his jeans he reveled a similar clip in size, that was designed to look like the young lady. Clipping the two together he smiled.
"They will be together forever."
"Just like us."
