A/N - I guess this is what happens when you really want the new Doctor to go see Sarah Jane. Hope you like!
"I'm telling you, Sarah Jane's got a boy toy."
"Yeah, but what you're not telling me is what a boy toy is." Clyde rolled his eyes and put an arm around Luke's shoulders.
"A boy toy, my naïve friend, is someone much younger than the woman he's dating."
"Oh!" Luke smiled, understanding. "And the man we saw go into the house with mum…"
"Is much younger than her. Even I could tell that."
"I dunno, Clyde… something about him… he didn't seem that young."
"Well maybe he's a bit older than he looks. Thirty? Thirty one? Either way, Sarah Jane has a boy toy and that in itself is just wrong."
"Why is that wrong?"
"Luke! Don't you see?" Clyde threw his hands up in the air out of frustration. "Sarah Jane nearly got married to a man planted by the Trickster! What if this bloke's working for an alien? What if he is an alien?"
"Or what if he's perfectly normal?" Clyde just gave him a look. "Why is that hard to believe? I know you think mum's pretty and you're younger than the man we saw." Luke stared for a moment. "Why is your face turning red?"
"It's warm." Clyde narrowed his eyes. "Besides, there's a big difference between thinking someone's pretty and actually dating them. Anyway, that's not the point."
"What is the point?"
"That Sarah Jane is dating an alien! Have you listened to anything I've been saying?"
"Actually," a voice cut in. Clyde and Luke spun around to come face to face with the very man they'd been talking about. "We're not dating." Clyde let out a sigh of relief. "More like married, actually."
"…Married?"
"Yep. For a while, actually. 'Course it's technically not legal on Earth but it's nice to drop in and say hello every now and then."
"I… who are you?" The man simply winked, turned to wave at Sarah Jane who was standing in the doorway and walked down the road. As he went he pulled something out of his pocket and a moment later a wooden blue box appeared in the road, making a sound much like the noise a car makes when you unlock it. The man chuckled.
"Never get tired of that."
