Naomi woke up to the sound of frantic knocking at the front door. Her mum of course was staying with Kieran the night before; she had no choice but to drag herself out of bed and get it herself.
She checked the clock, which read 9:00am. She groaned inwardly and pulled on an old tracksuit and hoody. She started to make her way down the stairs when the knocking started again.
"I'm coming!" she shouted loud enough for the person to hear.
She opened the door and was not surprised to see Emily there. This of course instantly brought a smile to her face. She was however surprised to see her snow covered garden behind her girlfriend, who she just noticed was wrapped up in jacket, scarf, hat and mittens!
Emily ran inside past Naomi and started shouting and talking unbelievably fast. She was sort of jumping up and down from the excitement as if she couldn't keep still. It was about the cutest thing ever and Naomi felt her stomach fill with butterflies at the sight of it.
"Whoa, Ems calm down yeah?" Naomi said while laughing at the over-excited red head.
"It snowed!" Emily screamed, with a huge grin! "You have to come outside! Go get a jacket and stuff so we can play"
Naomi couldn't help but laugh at her girlfriend "Ok ok, give me five minutes to get ready". And with that she went upstairs to follow her orders.
Emily waited downstairs and in less than five minutes Naomi came down the stairs covered up as much as Emily was. She had a huge jacket, gloves, and a brightly coloured scarf.
The minute she was down the stairs Emily grabbed her hand and dragged her out the door. Emily then launched herself into the snow and started making a snow angel!
Naomi couldn't help but laugh. She had never cared much for snow, but seeing how much Emily loved it she decided it was good.
She picked up a handful of snow and shaped it into a ball, "Hey Ems!" she shouted as she threw it in the direction of the snowball.
Emily had looked towards Naomi at hearing her name and was met with a face full of snow! "Oh my god! You bitch!" she screamed while laughing.
Naomi was rolling around in the snow laughing, Emily jumped on her and picked up a handful of snow and shoved it down her top! She then ran away giggling while Naomi screamed.
"Fuck Ems! That's bloody freezing! I'm so getting you back!" she shouted as she picked up a handful of snow and ran towards the small redhead.
They continued like this for the better part of the day. They made a snowman in Naomi's front garden and just messed in the snow in general.
They were lying in the snow at one point when Emily said "You know Nai, I really love snow"
"Yeah I sorta noticed" Naomi said in a teasing tone.
With that Emily leaned over and gave Naomi a small kiss, muttering "I love you" against her lips, just because she could. Then she got up and ran off, kicking snow over Naomi as she went. Naomi just grinned and got up to chase her girlfriend.
At around 6:00 they went inside and took off most of their layers. They went up to Naomi's room and curled into bed together to watch a DVD. Naomi had made them hot chocolate and they drank it while they watched the movie, just happy to be in each others company.
As they were falling asleep in each others arms Naomi heard Emily mutter "I hope it snows again tomorrow." Naomi just smiled and thought, me too.
