Notes; Simply couldn't resist.
Brainy Smurf.
Brennan gave a small shiver when she entered her dark apartment the silence almost deafening her when she closed to door. As her right hand searched the wall to flick on the light, her other hand dove deep into the pocket of her coat, her fingers wrapping around the tiny figure inside it and taking it out. Finally her hand found the lightswitch and she flicked it on before walking further into her apartment, her heels clicking across the wooden floor. It was not even 11pm and yet she was completely drained. They had been long and after she and Booth had wrapped up their latest case they had stayed too long at the Diner.
Originally she'd wanted to be home by ten, but in stead she'd stayed longer at the Diner to keep her partner company and share High School stories with him.
In only a couple of hours time she'd found out that he had first kissed when he was twelve, had first been really intimate with a girl at the age of fifteen and his favourite candy growing up were jawbreakers.
Of course he'd ignored her comment about those sweets being bad for his teeth.
Temperance shed her coat and draped it over her couch before kicking her shoes off and making her way over to the stairs. She glanced around her apartment one more time before flicking off the light again and slowly ascending the stairs. Upstairs it was just as dark as downstairs, except for her room which was bathing in the silvery light of the full moon. She maneoevred her way across the bedroom and flicked the tiny nightlamp on that was sitting on her beside cabinet. As the soft light spread across the room she moved to close the tall curtains, but paused to look at the stars outside. Her vibrant blue eyes searched the sky for her favourite constellation and a little smile spread across her features when she spotted it.
Delphinus.
She lifted her hand and looked at the tiny figure she was holding. Brainy smurf. All night long she'd kept it safely in her pocket, but now it needed a more special place. She turned around and walked back to her bed. Carefully she lifted her heavy pillow and placed the tiny blue smurf next to another special figure. The tiny pig Jasper. Satisfied, Brennan put her pillow back down and took her shoes off before grabbing a clean towel and making her way into her bathroom to brush her teeth a smile still showing on her face.
I should get Booth something. She thought before closing the door behind her quietly.
Maybe a new pair of socks.
Not entirely happy with the end, but it will do for now. Might change it if I get a brilliant idea.
Review if you want. x
